IIT Madras is one of the most prestigious college in india and as you said Admission is through JEE Main -> JEE Advanced -> Josaa Counselling.

For JoSAA counselling 2021 (Documents for IIT Admission)

• Class X Mark Sheet/Certificate or Birth Certificate (for Date-of-Birth)
• Class XII Mark Sheet (Qualifying Examination)
• Crossed Bank Cheque copy / Image of Passbook with bank account details
• Medical Certificate
• Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable
• In case of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2021.
• Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD),
• OCI/PIO card
• Passport / Citizenship certificate, if applicable
• Category Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ Gen-EWS

You need the following documents to register for IIT Advanced:

1. Certificates of Class X as proof of birth or Birth Certificate

2. Class XII (or equivalent) examination pass certificate

3. Category certificate

4. PwD certificate

5. Scribe Request Letter

6. PIO Card / OCI Certificate

7. DS certificate

8. Gazette notification showing name change (only for candidates whose names are not the same as in Class X certificate)

You would need the following documents at the time of admission:

1.Provisional seat allotment letter

2. Class XII performance check

3. Undertaking by the candidate

4. Proof of seat acceptance fee payment

5. Photo identity card

6. Original Admit card of JEE (Advanced)

7. Date of birth proof

8. Class XII (or equivalent) board marks sheet.

9. Medical certificate

10. Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable

11. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable.

12. Registration-cum-locked choices for seat allotment.

13. Two passport size photographs identical to the one uploaded during JEE (Main/Advanced) registration
