Let me tell you that as you are belonging to West Bengal so Jadavpur University has the following closing ranks(2018) for the following branches(Home state-General Category):

• Chemical-711
• Civil-727
• Computer Science-84
• Electrical-318
• ECE-185
• Information Technology-359
• Mechanical-461

According to the previous year cutoff,you can get a seat in 'Heritage Institute of Technology' in mechanical,civil,chemical,electronics and  instrumentation.

So according to 2018 cutoff it will not be easy to get seat in Jadavpur University.

No this rank is not good enough to get a seat in Jadavpur university. You may not get any good government colleges through this rank. You will get lower government colleges. Rather you should go for the private colleges with better streams like cse, ece
