My brother is expecting 2000 Rank - was thinking of considering IITD-Abu Dhabi for CS. What do you think?

With a rank around 2000, your brother actually has a pretty strong chance for CSE at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Abu Dhabi.

The biggest advantage is obviously the IIT Delhi tag and the financial support they’re offering. The monthly allowance and hostel support make it much more manageable compared to many foreign campuses.

The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s still a newer campus, so the campus culture, alumni network, and placement ecosystem are not as established as the older IIT campuses in India yet.

So if his priority is the IIT brand, international exposure, and future higher studies/global opportunities, it’s honestly a very solid option. But if he mainly wants the classic IIT campus life and older-established departments, then older IITs/NITs may feel stronger overall.
