You are asking whether you should get admission through management quota without giving any entrance exam.

First things first, why did you feel that PES is such a good brand to invest in? Do you have any idea about how good the departments and the teachers and the courses are at PES?

If your answer is no, then perhaps you should talk to people related to PES and do some exhaustive search. I will try to simplify this task for you.

1. If you are interested to learn Computer Science and are keen enough to dive into new technologies without hesitation. Management quota is not a bad option. But you should also remember that you will be investing a fortune to get into PES through management quota so make the best use of it.
2. If you are not interested in computer science and you still want to pursue your BTech from PES through management quota, then I would suggest that you drop the plan and I also want to remind you that this is my personal opinion.

The computer science department at PES is better than other departments and the course outline decided by the faculty and VC is concrete enough to get you a job for sure. But again, I would suggest you that you shouldn't be blown away by these facts and should enroll yourself only if you want to learn computer science and you have a fair amount of interest in it.

Now coming to the cost part of your question, I can only tell you that 4 years ago, when PES university was admitting its first batch. The yearly turion fee for students under management quota was 4 lakhs. Currently, it should be around 6–7 lakhs(I am not certain about this).

You should take your decision by consulting others who have been a part of PES either directly or indirectly and let me remind you that if you want an admission in the college by paying such a hefty sum of money, you should always think about the return that you can get.

If you are interested in civil, mechanical branches then I would personally tell you to reconsider your decision of getting yourself enrolled at PES.

Furthermore, if you are interested in higher studies, MS or other education programs, being in PES will help you attain those goals but again you have to be focused and dedicated towards it. You would be spending >25 lakhs in 4 years then you would want to pursue MS (say in US) which will again cost you so much money. So make a wise decision, don't rush into it.
