M.Sc. (Hons.) is a two year (four semesters) program, covers all the three basic domains of chemistry i.e. Physical, Organic and Inorganic with equal weight age. I'll start with telling you the basics of comparisn between these 2 universities.

SRM UNIVERSITY

fees : 60,000 approximately

Placements : In chemistry deptt, pharmaceutical companies visit the campus during recruitment mainly, no other companies are usually seen.

Infrastructure: the infrastructure of this college is exceptional. The hostels are quite expensive. They have wi fi installed all over the campus.

Faculty : the faculty is very good at this college. Almost all professors are phD holders.

LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY,  PUNJAB

fees: 58000 approx.

Placements : the placement cell of the university works really hard,as per last year statistics,  almost 70-80% students were placed. Highest package offered was 5.6 lakhs pa by byjus.

Infrastructure: hostels at lpu are average, but they have excellent library and labs. Wifi is installed throughout the campus.

Faculty: all the faculty members are helpful and qualified enough. Every student gets a personal mentor so that they don't face any sort of difficulties in studies.

So, i think that LPU and SRM both colleges are good for Msc chemistry as per the above information. However,I've heard from my fellowmates studying at SRM that SRM is exceptionally good for studies. Hope you get the college you aspire for!

SRM University is far better than LPU University. SRM has a bigger Tech fest, Cultural Fest & it has a good Academics records also. Srm has No ragging issues & have good friendly environment.  Srm has a excellent lab Department as comapared to LPU University.
