Generally there is very less scope for Bio Technology in India (even after post graduation). In my opinion, the best job would be that of a professor in a government institution (NIT's, IIT's) where the pay is commendable along with other facilities.
Otherwise I would advise you to do PhD abroad. If you haven't completed your post grad yet, then do it outside India as well.

Scope of M Sc in biotechnology in India is wide as after completing post graduation in biotechnology one can join these jobs-
Starting salary is around 9,000 per month (govt. Sector) and 12,000 - 20,000 per month (private sector). But by working and gaining experience salary increases.
