I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University and I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I can share details about LPU but I cannot comment anything about others.

Starting with my experience from the first year onwards, where we asked to join some Placement Enhancement Classes, that day I wondering why there is a need of same at this early stage and then the day I was sitting in my placement drive, I recall all those essential points which were taught to me that day and those eventually helped me in securing my seat in an interview.

Talking about my another life experience where we were asked to be a part of some live project in my second year and I was wondering, whether I am capable enough to be a part of such grand project from an MNC, but when eventually I started working, I realized I can do that and I had that much knowledge to be cope up with such projects. Also, such projects boosted up my CV and helped me in my placements as well as in my professional career.

One more point I would like to share that it is not just calling the company to the campus, but preparing the students up to such level that they can crack any interview is equally important. So, I have observed, LPU faculties, put in a lot of efforts to get the students placed. So, preparing the students to such level is more important and putting up efforts for that is more important and that what LPU always takes care of. University has separate placement enhancement department, which focuses on overall development of students.

University keeps on conducting, guest lectures, seminars, live projects, hands on training, sharing views and experiences by the experts and many more events which helps the students to broaden their thoughts and cope with the corporate world.

In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple packages as well. I was one of them, I remember my day I am hopping around the campus and was looking around which option to choose, Finally I landed up choosing HCL, with which I am currently working as well since last 4 years and have received many promotions and hikes. All I dedicate that to my faculties and mentors at LPU. They helped me in choosing the right decision at that time as well. Students are trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not.

The highest package back then during my batch was around 25Lacs p a. Most students who do not have backlogs or reappears gets placed. Students who were not so good in academics, they were enrolled in more PEP classes to help them in placements. On an average, 200 + companies visit campus every year, placing around 2000+ students every year. Packages vary from 5.30 L pa to 30 L pa based on the individual skill. Recently LPU student Tanya Arora bagged a placement of 42Lacs from Microsoft.

Ok, let’s take its as a fresh start, What all qualities we look for in a university or college while taking admission. Let’s make a list of qualities and then see if LPU has them all or not and you can also compare them with CU as well. If you are looking forward with engineering major points to be considered are Faculty, Labs and Infrastructure, Curriculum, University Accreditation and Placements. All the four mentioned universities are top rated. But Amity ans Sharda university are highly brand and they demand high fee structure. Considering the placements GLA University is now trending. GLA is top private university in UP. LPU is also good but doesn't give much placement as compared to GLA.
