    What is Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Legislative Law

    B. Tech L.L.B commonly known as Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Legislative Law is a six-year integrated law programme offered by various universities and colleges in India at the undergraduate level for students interested in studying technical subjects and law. The integrated law programme is a combination of the graduate programme in technology and law and comprises subjects related to engineering as well as core law subjects, which are distributed for each academic term in twelve semesters.

    B. Tech L.L.B is an excellent degree programme for candidates who are passionate about law and technology and are interested in working with private companies, government, law firms, corporate houses, and judicial and administrative organizations.     Eligibility for Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Legislative Law

    Candidates who wish to pursue B.TECH L.L.B. must meet the following eligibility criteria to secure admission in the programme of their choice:

    • Applicants should have completed 10+2 from a recognized school board with science stream including subjects like physics, chemistry and Math

    • Applicants must secure a minimum score of 50 per cent in their secondary education

    • There is no age limit to apply for the programme as the Bar Council of India has removed the criteria of age limit to apply for law programmes

    • Applicants are also required to appear for entrance exams such as CLAT, AILET and SET to apply to the college of their choice

    Most colleges offer admissions to candidates based on entrance exam scores. Therefore, applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria and cut-off score of the particular college they wish to apply for.

    Each college has its own set of admissions requirements. Merit-list and entrance-exam are used to determine admission to the Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Legislative Law programmes.     • Applicants need to fill an online application form for CLAT, AILET and SET examination. Candidates applying for either of the examinations must fill the complete application form and pay the application fee.

    • Applicants who have submitted the complete application package will receive an admit card which will mention details about the test, test centre, candidate, location and schedule.

    • The candidate will have to appear for the CLAT, AILET or SET examination based on the information available on the admit card.

    • The candidates will receive the result on the official website of CLAT, AILET and SET examination along with a merit list.

    • Online counselling will begin online with the allotment of seats based on the merit list. Interested applicants can confirm their seat and document verification after payment of admission fee.
