The answer might be controversial regarding the IIM and other colleges for MBA in India.

See, you might see the difference in the education system of the college IIM and the same scenarios in regular MBA colleges.

To be honest, IIMs are best and provides decent placements along with a nice environment for growth and development of a student. You will also be able to get good packages.  The average packages here is around 25 lakhs to crore. It completely depend upon the skills of an individual.

Higher the skill set better will be the placement opportunities.

Also, talking about regular MBA colleges, there is no such fixed criteria about the placements and packages.

Only very few candidates recieve good salary packages

I am hoping that you are fine. See , many colleges gives you direct admission but for this first you have to mention the course for which you are asking. If we talk for commerce so many colleges and universities take direct admission on the basis of class12th marks for BA , B.COM, BBA courses. Now come to the btech degree , many institutions take direct admission and also take personal interviews.
