Other state students are also eligible to get admission in all the private college and university including Jadavpur University.

Jadavpur University is a State University of West Bengal and thus the admission is done through WBJEE.

So, if you want to get into Jadavpur, first sit for WBJEE.

To get into JU, you need to get a rank under 1500, If you are going for Electronics, CSE, Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation etc., then you need a very decent score, your rank should be under 600–700. But, if you want to get in IT, Power, Printing, Construction -etc then scoring under 1200–1500 will be enough.

To be eligible to get admission at Jadavpur University you should have at least 60% (45% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Math.

You can sit for WBJEE 2018, but you will not be eligible for admissions at Jadavpur University, as 100% admission in all government institutes through WBJEE in West Bengal will be offered to only domiciled candidates (who belong to the state of West Bengal. However, you are eligible for the 15% seats reserved at Jadavpur University for All India Quota based on JEE Main. Here, for these 15% seats at Jadavpur University, you have to appear in JEE Main 2018 and further based on your JEE Main 2018 score you can apply at Jadavpur University under the 15% All India Quota Seats reserved for JEE Main candidates. But remember, for that you have to score high in JEE Main 2018, as the cutoff for the 15% seats goes very high.
