Can a B.tech 1st year student apply for a lateral entry into Manipal University to continue 2nd year engineering?

Sorry Lateral entry is only for students who had completed their diploma in Engineering and Technology.So a B.Tech first year guy cannot go through this exam .
You can change your branch and campus based on your first year CGPA if you are already a student in any of the Manipal university campuses.
But I don't have any idea about students pursuing B.Tech from another colleges.

Thanks for the clarification. I've been confused about this part for a long time. So that means I'll have to take the standard MET test, score well, get a seat in Manipal and start my 1st year all over again in Manipal University. I guess it's the only choice i have left.

Hi there hope you are doing great. Yes you can apply for Manipal university BTech after you completion of diploma. you will be directly admitted to 2nd year of BTech in Manipal university as you have diploma degree with you. Manipal university is very famous college and has very strong alumni network .one of the very famous person is Satya nadella. Hope this will help you. good luck.

Sir you didn't get my question. What if a person who doesn't have a diploma degree.. just doing a btech in his local college.. can he apply for Lateral Entry?! Cause I've only seen only BSc students can apply for Lateral.. please clarify this sir
