Dear Ahsan,Sorry to say but it will little hard to get any core M.Tech's in old IITs and NITs. It all depends on what rank you will get.You can apply to some of very good private colleges like BITS Pilani, VIT with this marks. If you are interested in research, you can get into MS Research course of IIT Kanpur, Bombay and Madras. MS courses have little bit lower cutoff then M.Tech course, but one drawback is you might have to face interviews for this. Rest everything is same you will get the same stipend as M.Tech students, but the course will be more focused on research rather then industry and placements as M.Tech.Hope It helps.
YES I M interested in interdisciplynary course also like solar energy and water resousre and mining engineering etc..i want any course in MS OR Ph.D... PLZ guide us regarding this...
Also, there are many interdisciplinary courses like auronautical engineering, biomedical sciences etc., you can get into these courses also. Cutoff for these is usually lower then M.Tech in core electrical disciplines. Please visit all institutes websites regarding this.
If you want to get into MS research and interdisciplinary courses, your GATE score is sufficient for this, you have to visit official websites of all the institutes you are interested in, search for the program of your interest.
If you can tell us what all programs you are interested in we can help you with the cutoffs and interview guidance.

i am interested in solar energy, aerospace, mining engineering, integrated circuits etc... and for ph.d i dont have any faire idea of statement of ourpose...plz tell me where can i get call for MS(in any course) and how to prepare for written and interview....
Dear Ahsan,First of all, all the choices whether PhD, MS and M.Tech will be filled through COAPS portal that will be launched after the gate result. Now coming onto the courses,For getting admission into PhD program, you should have a CGPA > 8 during your B.Tech.For getting in M.Tech and MS, your CGPA does not matter, in most of the IITs, but there are few IITs like IIT Delhi, in which for getting into some programs, min CGPA req. is 7.5. Again it totally depends on IITs.For Interdisciplinary courses, you have to check cutoff for EC for every available option. For Example, in IIT Bombay, last 3 year cutoff for all the programs are given in the link https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff-for-iit-bombayFor IIT Delhihttps://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff-for-iit-delhiIIT Kanpurhttps://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff-for-iit-kanpuryou can search for more on career360 website. Now coming on to Solar Engineering, there is no such M.Tech branch, but, this part is taught under Power Electronics. For Integrated Electronics, to be honest your GATE score is not enough. M.Tech Microelectronics & VLSI are the programs in which you learn about Integrate Electronics, and they have a pretty high cutoff.Let me know if I can help you in anything further.
