The cutoff as per 2017 for JEE to get into NIT's is between 90-100 .
In order for you to secure a seat you need to get above 175 and you will be able to make it to top 10 NIT's in the country.
The probability of getting a seat is confirmed if you can get a rank below twenty thousand. And supplement it with an excellent CBSE score of around 93%
The cutoff are still lower for Sc/St and OBC. As there is reservation for them.

Hi Piyush, Yes as for as eligibility criteria is concerned you need to secure 75% to appear for the exam.
The board marks are not considered for ranking.
For SC/ST/OBC it is 65%.
Attempts for JEE Mains is only three times.
