In regards to the recent tweet made by Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal..where he stated that Only 12 passing certificate is needed for admission to NITs and IITs...Does that mean i can get admission in NIT with my JEE rank even if i failed in maths but passed overall in certificate due to 6th subject..

There is no minimum percentage required to get admission in NITs/CFTIs/IITs. But you must pass in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognised board. You can get admission irrespective of you percentage in class 12 provided you must qualify in JEE Main. If you have not passed in Mathematics you are not eligible to get admission. But if you pass in supplementary exam this year you will be eligible. You need to provide passing certificate.
I passed Compartment exam for maths. But math is not stated in passing certificate. But in passing certificate i passed Overall due to 6th subject. So can i get admission to NIT as i have been alloted a seat????Plz help
This year will i need 75% in board to get admission in NITSs if i have good rank in JEE Mains? Or is 75% criteria in board exams not needed for this year for NITs as stated by Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal??
Apart from getting good jee rank Since the eligibility criteria for NITs this year is to obtain a passing certificate IRRESPECTIVE of marks obtained as Mr.RP Nishank said...So can i join NIT if i fail in maths but passed Overall due to 6th subject...
