Is it necessary to give jee main and mht cet both to get admission in college like COEP ,VJTI etc.. or only jee main and only mht set is ok.

Vjti and coep just take admission through mhtcet which is held by maharashtra government and had no seats for the candidates other than that of maharastra if he or she doesn't have domicile even after scoring .

For College Of Engineering, pune and
VJTI and for every Top colleges in Maharashtra like ICT, and some more to get into this colleges only  MHTCET exam is enough. But if you get more percentile in JEE than you can get participate in All India Qouta Seats which is 15 percent in Every college.
If you feel JEE as tougher exam than just keep your focus on MHTCET try to secure 99+ percentile in that.

It depends on the college you want to take admission into. If you want to take admission in a college in Maharashtra which accepts MHT-CET score then you can choose to give mhtcet.

But jee mains score are valid in colleges all over India and almost every college which accepts MHT-CET score accepts JEE main score also.

But you can get admission in a college if you give any 1 of these.

COEP and VJTI both are governement engineering colleges. To take admission in COEP Pune and VJTI Mumbai you need to appear for MHT CET exam and you should have domicile certificate of Maharashtra to take admission in these colleges.

There will be no admission on the basis of JEE Main in these 2 colleges.
