If you wanted to try for NIT Patna you should have participated in CSAB where you are allowed to fill in new choices for institution and if the seats were available in NIT Patna and your rank was good enough you would have been alloted a seat there. Now the CSAB rounds are already under the go with first round's result being out. You have no chance if you haven't participated in CSAB.
