The admission process is varied since different institutes have their own admission requirements and processes. Admissions to the programme are usually formulated on the basis of the Common Entrance Test (CET).  Delhi University conducts its own entrance examination for M.Sc. in Chemistry.

Delhi University conducts DUET  to shortlist candidates for different postgraduate degree programmes. Students  should know that the University of Delhi provides 50 per cent seats on a merit basis, the remaining 50 per cent are filled based on the scores obtained by the students in the entrance examination

• To get admission to the course, students are expected to clear a college/university’s respective entrance examination.

• The college or university declares the results after successfully appearing for the examination, and publishes a merit list of qualified candidates.

• Shortlisted students must then go through the admission process at the college.
