The last year's opening and closing ranks for computer scienec at VNIT Nagpur (for OBC-NCL) for other state candidtes were -

Other State Candidates

Opening Rank - 1350

Closing Rank - 2292

So, if you get by cutoff rank, you need somewhere in the 2000 range to be in contention for a CS seat at the institute.
