SVNIT Surat has one of the best infrastructures among all the National Institutes of Technology. The campus is fully renovated. Most of the academic buildings and departments have been moved to newly built buildings equipped with necessary teaching aids. The structures of hostels and recreational areas are also newly built and have good facilities. The classroom complex is well equipped and has a lot of room. In short, most of the buildings are newly built and one of the best in all NITs.

Being an institute of national importance, SVNIT Surat has some of the best minds of the country as faculty. I am a student of the Applied Mathematics and Humanities Department in the institute, I have had the best experience of learning from excellent teachers in my department and other Applied Sciences department. Apart from faculty, the institute has the best curriculum for all of their courses. The curriculum is revised periodically to match the needs of current employment standards.

The placements of SVNIT Surat have not been at par with the top institutes imparting the same field of education to their students. The placement statistics in the year 2019-2020 are less than the previous years. The total number of students placed is 425 from BTech and 100 from MTech and Integrated MSc. Maximum CTC offered was 37.5 LPA (Computer Science Engineering), minimum CTC was 3 LPA (Mechanical and Chemical Engineering) and the average CTC was 7.4 LPA.

The campus life at SVNIT Surat is fantastic with a lot of opportunities for socialising and taking a break from the monotony of lectures. The campus has many clubs for students of all fields of interests. Institute organises occasional events and celebrates festivals on the campus. Events are conducted year-round stopping only during semester exams. SVNIT campus has facilities such as central library and student activity centre equipped with the latest facilities add quality to the campus life.

SVNIT Surat is located in the best areas of Surat city. due to its proximity to the main city, there is a great social life outside the campus. The campus is situated in the midst of forest so it has an exotic vibe to it. the coastline is 15km away from the campus due to which we have rainy and pleasant weather all year round. the city is famous for its food and this culture finds its path in the mess of the hostels too, something which is rare to find in colleges.

Along with top NITs, Sardar Vallabhbhai National institute of technology-Surat has one of the best Library facility. And all the departments have separate buldings for Undergraduates as well as Post-graduates. CRC is main building for undergraduate student and that is totally new and well maintained also SVNIT has Good hostel faculty and canteen facility. In Gujarat Surat has one of top cities and SVNIT is placed at middle of Surat so students can easily get everything.

Every faculty has excellent knowledge level and teaching techniques is awesome. after attending lectures you are clear with your doubts. especially for mechanical branch every faculty is well qualified and have proper course curriculum. every gap of years course curriculum is changing so students get exposure of current scenario.

For b.tech placement is outstanding especially for computer and EC branch. for M.tech placement is some how low with respect to B.tech . Average 60-80% of students got placed with range of 4-10 lacs CTC. Top companies are came for recruiting for core branches with good salary package . overall placements is between good to high.

Fees as compare to other NITs is moderate but they are giving more facilities rather than other NITs. For every branch SVNIT has proper and well maintained laboratory facility .All the machines are in working condition so you can operate and understand mechanism of machine. so totally worth for money.

SVNIT is totally ragging free institute. So many clubs are working so students can utilize their free time. So many events are organizing like Sparsh, Kasish, Navratri night, Ganesh utsav, Janmastami, Mahashivratri so that experience is can't forgettable. After completing UG or PG students bring good memories with them.

Best infrastructure, newly built buildings for most of the departments and with latest equipments and provided with a superb canteen with a huge ground for sports and other cultural activities, and best hostels.

Amazing environment

College has a good infrastructure. There's no doubt in it . It has many classroom complex and new buildings are being developed according to the requirement. Girls have one hostel with single room each and boys have many hostels with single as well as sharing rooms. Girl's mess food is undoubtedly awesome. There is also a facility for parents to stay at a guest house in the campus. Campus is has lush green environment.

Faculties are very good except few. Being from an integrated msc in maths , our faculties had always encouraged us to work in the field of research. Syllabus needs to be updated. Overall , teaching is really good .

Placements of our batch was encouraging. As far as engineering placements are concerned , highest package was that of 33 lakhs in computer science and engineering. Nearly everyone was placed in our department and some had opted to go for research.

Being a government college , you don't have to worry about the academic fees. It's very affordable and convenient. Return of investment is also worth it. You can choose this college for this college without any hesitation.

Campus life is very much enjoying and cheerful. We have Kashish for freshers ,sparsh for cultural fest and many more. We also had the opportunity of joining NCC , if anyone is interested. Different cultural groups had various association and many clubs .

College infrastructure is very good with all the necessary facilities. We have canteens, mess, seminar halls, sports center. Wi-Fi is also available in the whole campus, it is free for students as well as for faculties.

Overall quality of teaching is good. We have one mid semester exam and one final semester exam. Also, curriculum is updated time to time. Laboratories are also very good to perform experiments. We have well designed computer labs.

Placement is average in your college. Average package nowadays is 5 LPA. Highest salary package goes to Computer Science students. College is very much supportive in terms of placement. Placement process is wasy.

SVNIT is situated in the well developed part of surat city. College infrastructure is very good having multistorey buildings of class room comlex and each dept having its own class rooms, seminar halls, labs, offices along with digital mode of study. Library is fully networked along with digiatal library. Sports facilities are good along with day night cricket tournament once in a year. Having 2 day night basketball courts, lawn tennis and badminton courts. Campus is full of greenery .

Academics is quite good and the parts teach by the professor are well understood. Latest curriculum is updated from 2019-2020 academic year. Here mechanical department contains maximum number of students as every year more than 250 students come in this dept.

Placements are average. Maximum for computer dept. But placement percentage is good for all departments. Maximum placement for computer department is upto 40 lpa and 20lpa average. Percentage of placement in chemical department is also very good.

Yes there is value for money if you are really interested in study then no doubt this college is providing an extraordinary environment for your study where one can develop himself.

I want to give genuine review about college , Infrastructure wise this was a good campus but coming to maintanence I will rate 2 out 5 ,campus hostels are not well maintained sometime wifi isuues will be there,some times water problem will be there,there is no nonveg in food .I am a South Indian we always wanted to eat nonveg☹️.

I am studying electronics and communications engineering,the overall quality of teaching is good.the curriculum is is updated and includes recent developments in all fields .the main focus is on vlsi,electro magnetic waves, microprocessor,micro controller.we aso have some elective subjects based on students interests

Quality of placements is outstanding in svnit ,surat.90-95% students will be placed in almost all national and international companies.highest package was 40lpa from computer engineering branch.The average salary offered was 7lpa, placement process is also simple and easy.collge was very much supportive during placements.

Here we get free education only we have to pay 5000 for course registration.i feel the academics will value our money but hostels are not worthy,the reason is hostels are not well maintained and there is no good hygiene.

Overall my campus life is outstanding.most of the students study hard upto 3rd year.in final year they will make memories with friends by making trips to Goa,delhi,mumbai etc.campus is very safe ,without pollution.surat is very neat city.my campus is at center of surat,good travelling facilities are there .it can handle all emergency situations.

i have mostly explored the entire campus and I find it hygienic and well planned overall in terms of being in top 10 NITs in India. Mess food is not at all good. sports faculties are decent. campus is spacious and classrooms well equipped with smart boards. on an average infrastructure is high end.

Being a government college in engineering academics is not compromised much. curriculum provides one mid sem exams and one end sem exams along with several quizzes and assignments. all streams have updated curriculum, and being in civil i feel here enough hands-on here.

2014 witnessed the highest package of all NITs in India in SVNIT. 42 Lpa was the package that year. an average package of 5+Lpa is maintained here, as of my seniors told me. even chemical and civil students find their way out with some in core companies as well.

It's a government college it will always be value for money. the fees here is not at all high and you get return on investment in the first year of your job itself.

campus life is amazing here. The campus has good environment with several small or big events happening all around. The fest here is popular in south of Gujarat. night life here is very nice if you own a cycle. the hostels and classes are far, but the cycle rides in morning are amazing. campus life is best.

If you're from Gujarat give your try for this college. you will have your best years of your life here. Cutoffs are high even for state quota.

Everything is very good... Good facilities will be there... To learn from the different culture and different campus festivals...as per maintenance is very good at each and every place of campus... Everything was arranged by the campus..

Highest package - 20 LPA average package :5 LPA... 75% of students will be placed... Remaining are busy with their further education like another coarses in abroad or to work the government.. So they are trying to crack the government exams
