You will get into NIT for sure with this rank. But you won't get into top NITs. Save your seat in BITs. And wait for the list and see which NIT you get in. But if you don't get your desired branch and not into top NIT, do go to BIT. Because BIT has been proved to be a very reputed institution and has a very good placements.

Factually speaking BITS is way too better than NITs. It stands among the top 5-10 universities in India every year. The only NIT which can atleast stand as a competition to BITS is NIT Trichy. NIT surathkal is also not a bad choice. There is no point in selecting any other NIT insted of BITS. There are 2 factors you should consider:
1. Tution fees ( BITS' tution fees is 3 times to that of NITs)
2. Branch (If you aren't getting your desired branch in BITS, you should definitely consider NITT or NITK because they are also ranked very good and have rich faculty, placements, college culture and alumni)
Take your decision keeping in view the above favtors.
