I have completed my MA sociology through distance mode from ignou. Am i eligible for phd course in any university through regular mode?

You are eligible through the Distance program. You can apply for the NET Exam easily, the eligibility criteria is as follows -

You must have completed postgraduatiomn with 55 % marks ( for female/reserved  candidates the eligibility is 50 % marks )

There is no age lmit to appear in the NET Exam but to qualify for the NET JRF Exam the age limit is 28 years.If a student qualifies  the NET Exam, he gets scholarship worth INR 25000 per Month for Research and Studies

There is no lack of UGC NET Lectureship Jobs in India after qualifying the NET Exam.You can work as -

Work as a lecturer and Professor in the Colleges and Universities.

Write the Book Editor and Author in the various fields.

Work in the Research Field related to the Subject.
