Hi ,there are only few engineering colleges in India which are either better than IIT or equivalent . One of these are BITS pilani , other one is BITS Hyderabad the third one is thapar University . You can also so focused for IISC Bangalore.  For getting admission in either of these colleges you have to study hard and might be equivalent to that to get admission in IIT . So focus to strengthen your base and work hard . Hope this will help you.
