Yes, our college has all the basic necessities for the students. The classrooms of nano building and incubation centre are fully equipped with air conditioning and smart boards. You can access wifi in almost every corner of the campus. Talking about the food, it is average.
Being a student of Computer Science and Engineering I experienced that the professors are hardworking, calm and gives a lot of assignments. Academic curriculum is a little bit updated according to the present demand.
Placement record of our college is improving every year.Last year the highest package from our college was of 1.8 CPA. Many big companies visited us and hired many students. The average package this year is 14 LPA.
The campus area of our college is nearly 40-50 acres. Although the campus is small but every corner is utilised perfectly. You'll find greenary all around. The ground is not so big, we can play either football or cricket at a time.
The college infrastructure is great . It has almost all the necessary facilities such as air conditioned library with working wifi. Classroom desks are of great quality and well maintained and the campus is very clean . The food is also good.
I am too much fascinated about engineering and technology. It was my childhood dream to become a well professional engineering and too much fascinated about learning new technology and growth.Placements are so good. Average package offered by the college is very nice .Almost 80% of Placements are provided , that is a good point and the packages offered are also good. Nice placement and good skills.
The college provides high and good amount of packages from varying to tech as well as core branches. The placement stats are growing year by year.Various companies visits our college and provide high amount of packages.
Outer buildings of our college is quite older since it got the nit tag in 2004 and the main building was built around 1900 . Campus is short but the thing is inside of the campus everything is very new .
Faculties are good everytime you got the opportunity to learn something new. This is really cool and gives us the opportunity to uskill and focus on our career as well as the things that we like, if u are dedicated and not influenced by the people around here then this is the place that you ll like .
Placements stats are quite good, everyone around here gets some offer by companies. But big companies like apple , Microsoft, google don't come to the campus . Yes they do help in offcampus placements.
It's not that value for money than others but if we compare it with other cllgs but far better than a private college . Mess food is quite ok and it has a good library, good facilities as well as good .
Good campus life , u ll come after 3 years of tabsaya . Here make friends and yes good friends. Since this is nit patna so it has some elements with down moral so u do need to protect yourself but it ll make you strong overall cllg have fests , events n all.
See aim for the best . Nit patna should not be your choice. Aim for better colleges . College is not made by faculty or academics it's the people who are here . Study well during JEE for a good 4 year in a good college
I am a 2nd year student studying at Nit patna . If i talk about the college infrastructure, it is not bad neither it's so good with an area of around 45-50 acre, it's feels kind of but populated inside the main campus ..but if i talk about the facilities then yeah you will get everything that is present in any other college ...wether it's boys and girls gym ,library , Nescafe shops , stationary, public concourse and more . In some classroom only , we have the functional smart boards.
I am studying Computer science and engineering from Nitp . The quality of teaching here is not soo good , the teachers here are sure exceptional but students have to study by their own in order to grasp the concept. Most of the times students are not able to understand ehat is going on in the class. Going to class result in nothing (just saying through experience) . Curriculum is updated for sure and involves everything, but student have to manage alot by himself in order to learn skills
Placements are the one thing due to which many people take admission here , In tems of placements , I can say Nitp is doing soo well , in the last 5 years , nitp changed its nirf ranking from 300+ to under 70 (62 in 2022) , many new companies are coming here and placements medians is also around 9-10 lpa for cse guys ....this year two three people bagged more than 1 crore package here and 70-80 got internships in the Amazon and many other big MNC's ...so in terms of placements NitP is doing well
If i had to speak about the value of money than i think it's too much not because its expensive but because we do not get to learn the skills and things our future needs ..we just got crambled by the large neverending assignment and 75 percent attendence, if a student has to develop the skills , he has to give time to himself other than attending College lectures
I think Campus life is not meant by the campus but by the friends and students around you... In Nitp the environment is a bit Competitive but the people here are soo good for sure ..wether it's your own classmates or seniors they all are very much supportive and that's the best thing a student want from its campus life . In terms of Location of NITP ,i think it is the best location any college can ever get, It is situated just in the centre of patna with NIT GHAT just situated beside it .
I explain everything above i can just say it's a very wholesome experience to do engineering from this college , and moreover if you are surrounded with better people you will be the one getting better . Just a tip for juniors - (always surround yourself with good company people's)
The college has a pretty basic infrastructure. It does have all the basic facilities and equipments as far as the academics are concerned. But for the cocurricular activities such as sports the college has a single playground which sometimes falls short to fulfill the needs of all kinds of sports. It has well maintained library and laboratories. The hostels are also well maintained. But there is one issue that there is not enough availability of rooms for girl students.
I study Computer Science and Engineering here. The teachers are really concerned for their subjects and give their best to teach the students but the syllabus does the same as in any other college. Whatever you do college studied solely cannot make you ready for your placements.
The placements at NIT Patna has seen an exponential growth in the last two years and the students are doing pretty good. A number of students are bagging placement offers from companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Paytm, Goldman Sachs, Samsung and many more.
As far as the placement is considered one can say that the college provides value for money. On an average the tution fee for a year is about 1,20,000. But when seen for the infrastructure specially for the co-curricular activities it fails to satisfy the needs of the students.
Haven't been to college yet since I am 2020 batch student.
Overall it is pretty good college to give a hike to your career.
Hostel for first-year students are not as good but are still satisfying but from second year there is quite good facilities of hostel with additional facilities like high-speed internet connection and purified water garden and many more. The mess is good. The infrastructure of the college is not encouraging and labs, classroom, sports and medical facilities are provided.
I am currently studying the MS integrated course in mathematics the quality of teaching its outstanding the curriculum is updated every semester and includes all those fields which will develop the personality of the student and will make them job ready.
The placement rate of our course was around 67%. The average salary package offered was 5.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.2 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 7.7 LPA for the batch of 2015-2020. TCIS and Google are the top recruiters here. About 70% of the students got internships from our college in reputed institutions and companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.
Infrastructures and facilities are average. Our college has almost every little facilities as it should be for any government engineering colleges but some facilities/equipments are not used and well maintained. Currently NIT Patna is going to have a new campus in Bihta, Patna near IIT Patna which will resolve many Infrastructure, hostels other and facilities related issues. NIT Patna has its own Sports Stadium, Major Dhyanchand Stadium for all sports, events activities. Overall, proper space!
I'm studying B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering but I wanted to pursue Computer Science Engineering. But every other branches students are well taught and trained for some of the course of Computer Science especially in Programming domain for job ready in Tech based companies. Curriculum is not much updated but you can ignore those courses which are irrelevant or have no interest. Faculties are good and supportive.
Placements are amazing enough for almost every branch students especially CSE, ECE, Mechanical and Electrical. Our college ranked 72 in NIRF 2021. In 2021-22, Placements are increased 103% and more than 50% students from all branches are placed in well paid good companies within 6 months of Placement year. Average package offered is 12 LPA (2021). Highest package offered is around 40-45 LPA. Many Tech Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, TCS, Wipro, Paytm etc are coming for Placements.
Including tuition (65,000 Rs), academic and hostel+mess fees (20,000 Rs), total cost per year for a B.Tech course is around 1,60,000 Rs. But if you can get tuition fee waiver, your cost will be drastically reduced. I'm getting 100% full tuition fee waiver, and my total cost per year is around 35,000 Rs only. Definitely a Value for money college.
From my admission in Dec, 2021 I've not entered into the campus due to Covid-19 (Currently, I'm in 4th Semester 2nd Year at the time of writing this review) so I can't tell much about the campus life. But still in Online mode all the events and engaging competitions, webinars, meetings are well organized. Amazing students clubs are here to keep you learn and interact with every college mates and enjoy the college life. Everything about college life is just amazing for me.
Overall, NIT Patna is amazing and outstanding Government Engineering college. At last, I want to add that it is you (all the students) who make the college and the place better for themselves with full of learning and exploring new fields. You can make amazing out of any college if you are well determined and focus towards your goal and have clarity about what you want to achieve or get. Keep learning from around and exploring new things. You'll definitely achieve what you want. Best of luck!
Campus is very small . Hostel is not sufficient for all. Food is not nice. Sports facilities are also not available. Lab facilities are also not proper. Very less number of sports are available so not sufficient for all the games.
I am studying Computer Science and engineering . As i am interested in that i have taken that stream. Quality of teaching is average. Curriculum is not updated and very old . So it does not make us ready for the job.
The quality of the placements is average . It is good in Computer science and engineering and very less in other branches . In Computer Science and engineering around 90% members get placed . Highest salary is around 40LPA and average is around 8 lpa.
Current Campus of NitP is situated in the main city. It is a bit small but is suffy equipped by all necessary facilities like Girls Boys hostels, library, Sports Ground, Gyms etc. A new campus is under construction and will probably start functioning soon.
Teachers here are so supporting and co operative. Always they are ready to clear students doubts. Standard syallbus is followed which i feel should be modified now . Assignemts ,tests everything is arranged in well manner.
It cells mostly visit to our campus. Placements of core branches are less because of the demand of it candidates more. Apart from that many seniors of our institute has secured single and double digit ranks in competitive exams like GATE .
Nits are really cost efficient. They provide many scholarships and reduce ones fees according to his/her Family income . Collage arranges many competitions which awards cash prizes too. There are many loans also availavle.
In this Covid time our seniors managed many online events , orientations to let us know about various clubs like ieee, hacklash and dsc , robotics etc. They are really cooperative and teachers are always ready to solve our doubts.
Overall this collage is really good. If u secure a good rank in jee mains u can easily take admission.in Nit Patna
yes the college have all the necessary infrastructure and equipment. college have large smart class room with full campus high speed internet laboratories and library are big and contain all required books and needs of lab. well maintained but not much cleaner
i study mechanical engg here and quality of teaching is good but not the best need to improve and all the programs curriculum are regularly updated as per the need of the world and make it job oriented.
placement has been increasing in this college and day by day it's making progress earlier placement cell was not active but now they are supportive . average salary package offered is about 4.5 lakh/yr and highest is 36lakh/yr
for the two semester that is for 1 year it will cost about 1,20,000 INR which is fairly valuable as they provide you all the necessary thing which could even range more than double in normal college of other country like uk.
student get engaged in NSS and many other activity like theater dance singing also all teaching non teaching staff are supportive but most of the student here is of Bihar only so may be can't find much difference in living
it's good
Hello,
You have a moderate chance of being accepted into NIT Patna's Electrical Engineering program if you applied under the EWS category and the Bihar state quota and scored in the 93th percentile of JEE Main 2025. This branch's EWS category closing ranks in prior years were quite near to your anticipated rank. Cutoffs, seat availability, and competition in your category all affect your chances of getting in. During JoSAA counselling, it is advised to rank NIT Patna's Electrical Engineering as a top choice. To increase your chances of admission, keep backup options in comparable NITs and think about related fields like instrumentation or EEE.
All the best.
