The labs and classrooms are very neat and in the library, pin-drop silence is maintained. The teachers will be available every time when you need them. The mess food is good enough every time. There are fewer medical facilities. Sports and games are frequently conducted
Attendance is a must and the pass percentage is 80%. Teachers are very helpful and have good communication with the students. They are available always without any bad implications. The teachers are well qualified and dedicated. Everyone completed their Ph.D.
There are 60 students in our classroom. Overall, in the CSE department, there might be 1000 students. The least salary package they offer is 7 LPA. Top companies like Vertusa, Infosys, and more recruit students. Many students will do internships in our college in best companies.
There's free Wi-Fi that students get to use. Hostel rooms depend on the money you pay. When it comes to sports, games, and the canteen, everything is great. The canteen food in specific is great. You get what you paid for. Coming to classrooms, there is a central air-conditioner so it's great even during summers.
Excellent faculty. They take good care of students, especially during the covid time. As for exams, they're moderate, not too easy, not too hard. But after covid, I feel like they have made exams kind of tougher and for our last semester, we haven't gotten any gaps between our exams. But the pass rate is high so there's nothing to worry about.
Almost 90% of the students who opted for placements will get placed. The training for campus recruitment is excellent. They start training in the 2nd year of engineering. They mainly focus on aptitude, English, and coding. But after 3rd year, they mainly focus on coding.
This college provides a network, laboratories, and classrooms. The library was also excellent. The facilities were good in this college. The food served in the mess and canteen was good. The medical facilities were available. Sports and games were also excellent.
Teachers were helpful, and they were Ph.D. scholars. The teaching quality was moderate. The curriculum was relevant, and it makes students ready for industry. Exams difficulty was moderate, and the pass percentage was 75%. The semester exams can be prepared before the night itself.

Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro were the top recruiting companies. Many students got internships from Internshala. System engineer role and web developer were the top roles offered. Placements were great in this college.
The classrooms are renovated well and have smart class facilities. Wi-Fi is available in each class. A good knowledge resource center is available. If we pay 3000 to 4000 for book banks in the first year, then we can take book banks for four years. After 4 years, we can take books from the library which costs 3000 to 4000 at the end.
Some of the faculty are good and very helpful and have good knowledge. They encourage students to do something new, and a few faculty have no knowledge and try to take classes by reading the PPTs. The course has subjects which are fundamentals do make us industry-ready.

Campus life is good and provides good infrastructure. College has a great library with lots of knowledge giving books. Computers are provided with high-speed Wi-Fi to access through the latest news and other research papers.
Teachers are well qualified with minimum experience in that particular domain. There are various instructions from guest lecturers to learn a lot of good things. Teachers are available always to clear our projects. There are 3 mid-term exams conducted in 4 months of course and later we will have our semester exam.
Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. There are companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, and many more. They start training students for the placements from third-year semester holidays by cocubes where they teach coding from basics.
The hostel is good in our college. I'm not staying in a hostel but this is what I heard. People complain that the hostel food which is good but there is another canteen within the campus which serves good food for which we should pay separately.
If students are willing to study then this university is good. You should be focused on your career. Exams are not so difficult. The pass percentage is more and almost all students clear the exams with an excellent cgpa
Internships are offered through a third party and we need to pay for that as they provide training. About 100% of placements are guaranteed but all companies offer you the best salary packages in top mnc
offers an astonishing infrastructure for the students, the labs and the classrooms are top notch and you will find the most organized hostels which are way more cleaner than any hostel you ever visited. The best thing about gitam is when you look around it is all green because of the plantations we have in our college and you can get almost all kinds of food items that are sold in the campus
The professors are well educated and they know their subject very well and they are always trying to teach new things to the students, and when it comes to semester exams professors are always helping in the preparation and more care is given to students that are slow learners.
It is well known for its placements and infrastructure. From my batch there are 63 students and out of them 50 are placed in top most companies like accenture, tcs, delloite. Etc. And the highest package was of 7 LPA and most of the candidates that applied for jobs got selected through our college.

More than 85% of students got placed here. If you clear the subjects without any backlogs, you can get placed. Many international companies recruit students here. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3 LPA.
The pass percentage is more and almost all students are going to clear the exams.
Internships are offered through a third party and we need to pay for that as they provide training. About 100% of placements are guaranteed but not all companies offer you the best salary packages. They are not money-oriented.
Hello there,
Both NIT Trichy and IIIT Bangalore are excellent institutes, but they have different strengths. Here's a clear comparison to help you decide:
Choose NIT Trichy (ECE) if:
You prefer a well-rounded engineering institute with a strong alumni network.
Your son may consider government or PSU jobs or core ECE roles .
He wants to participate in vibrant campus life, clubs, and fests .
You value a
top-tier NIT tag
, which is highly recognized across India.
Choose IIIT Bangalore (ECE/Data Science) if:
Your son is
very focused on IT, data science, AI/ML
, or
software roles
, even with an ECE tag.
He is interested in
research or higher studies
, as IIIT-B has strong faculty and research culture.
You prefer a
tech-focused environment
with fewer distractions.
You are okay with
limited campus life
(as it's a PG-oriented institute with no large undergraduate culture).
Final Suggestion:
If your son wants a balance of core ECE and IT opportunities with a strong brand and campus life , go for NIT Trichy .
If he's 100% focused on tech/software careers and doesn't mind a smaller UG crowd , IIIT Bangalore is also a great option.
Since financial affordability is not an issue, choose based on career goal alignment and campus culture preference .
