NIFFT Ranchi Admission Process

National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), Ranchi was established in 1966, has five main teaching departments Foundry Technology, Forge Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, and Department of Applied Science and Humanities (DASH). The institute offers an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Technology, and Doctoral course degrees to interested candidates. NIFFT Ranchi Admissions

NIFFT Ranchi courses include Advanced Diploma, B.Tech., M.Tech, and Ph.D programmes. Admissions to B.Tech. are based on JEE Main entrance exam followed by JoSAA counseling, M. Tech. admissions are made through the GATE entrance exam and CCMT counseling, whereas admissions for Advanced Diploma and Ph.D are made on the basis of the candidate’s merit and personal interview in the case of Ph.D candidates.

NIFFT Ranchi provides Advanced Diploma courses in Forge Technology and Foundry Technology. The duration of Advanced Diploma course is 1.5 years.

NIFFT B.Tech Admission Process

NIFFT Ranchi B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech.	Candidates must have secured minimum marks of 55% in class 12. They must have completed a previous course degree in science stream with subjects of math, chemistry, physics.

NIFFT B.Tech. Admission Through JEE Main

B. Tech. admissions in NIFFT are made through JEE Main entrance exam, along with JoSAA counseling. The admission procedures are given below in detail.

Fill the admission form and then submit it before the deadline.
Appear for JEE Main entrance exam and meet the required cut-off score.
Participate in the JoSAA round of counseling for final seat allotment.
Submit all the required documents for verification.
Candidates who are selected must pay fees.

NIFFT M.Tech Admission Process

The institute offers MTech admission in Environmental Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Foundry Forge Technology, and Material Science and Engineering.

I am studying metallurgical and materials engineering in National Institute of Advance Manufacturing Technology because this category is very interesting . The quality of education here is very nice. All professors are Phd scholars form IITs the best institutions of our country. Our professors have developed syllabus such that it includes all those things which makes us job ready.

How is nifft ranchi for girls in metallurgy branch ?? iIs it good or bad ??

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you.It is good for girls as well. The college has good placement records. Average Package offered is 4.50lakhs. you may have heard about the girl named Jaya Gupta, final year student of B.tech Metallurgical Engineering from nifft ranchi who has become national topper in metallurgy in gate exam. Faculty is very supportive and helping. It is one of the best option.
