NIFFT Ranchi Admission Process 2021
National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, Ranchi offers diploma, undergraduate (B.Tech), postgraduate (M.Tech) and doctoral (Ph.D) courses to the students. Admission to B.Tech is offered by NIFFT Ranchi on the basis of scores JEE Main and candidates will further have to register for JoSAA counselling for participating in the choice filling, choice locking and seat allotment. Admission to programmes is offered by National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, Ranchi on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and the aspiring candidates have to further participate in CCMT counselling process for choice filling, choice locking and seat allotment. Admission to diploma courses is based on written test conducted by NIFFT Ranchi whereas admission to doctoral programmes is based on overall academic performance, written test, and interview. For Diploma Courses:
- Candidates have to fill an online application form for admission to the College.
- Admission will be based on the performance in a written test conducted by the Institute.
For Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech):
- Admission will be done on the basis of performance in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).
- Based on the marks scored in JEE Main exam, candidates have to register for JoSSA counselling and choose NIFFT as their preference.
- Final admission will be done after seat allotment and fee payment.
For Postgraduate Courses (M.Tech):
- The candidates should qualify the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
- Candidates have to register for CCMT counselling process based on the marks scored in GATE exam.
- Final admission will be done after choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment and fee payment.
For Doctoral Courses (Ph.D):
- Candidates have to fill an online application form for admission to the College.
- The candidates have to appear for written test followed by an interview.
- Final admission will be based on the overall academic performance, written test, and interview.
NIFFT Ranchi View Course Specific Admission Process 2021
1. Admission to all disciplines will be made in the Autumn Semester of each session at the First Year level through JEE (Main), the counseling for which is done by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) [The acronym JEE {Joint Entrance Examination} in this document shall mean JEE(Main) or any other equivalent examination relevant to the context]. There shall be no opportunity for a change of branch mid-way during the programme.
2. Besides the successful JEE candidates, a specified number of foreign nationals selected under the policy laid down by the Government of India may be admitted directly to the 1st year of any of the programmes covered by these regulations. At present foreign nationals selected under DASA.
