Yes the college good. The infrastructure is big and beautiful. The hostel is good and the hygine are maintain. The lab is well maintain and have most of the instruments. The library is good and have large number of books in various topics. In hostel there is provision of free wifi. The food are good.
I am studying in industrial design. The quality of teaching is good. The proff are helpful. They guide us for with good solution. The curriculum is updated. And the lab of it well maintained with all instrument. Various program like communication , personal development which makes us ready for jobs.
The placement is good. The maximum package goes form computer science branch. But for other branches also it's good. The average is around 6-10 lpa. The placement process goes smooth and easy. It is controlled by the placement cell of Institute. The in charge are supportive. They help us when we faced any problem.
The fee is comparable to other nits .it's around 1 lakhs per sem but for different category and economically weaker section, there is a fee waiver scheme. By looking at the facility the money is fine.
The campus life is good and beautiful. There are many clubs as per different intrest like dance club, finance club, debating club, etc which one can join as per their intrest. In sports tere are various play and tournaments like volleyball, cricket, etc. There is a swimming pool also. There is hospital nearby one can go in an emergency.
The experience is beautiful. And I loved to be the part of the college.
Infrastructure of Nitr is one of the best among nits. Our hostels have all facilities. Wifi enabled campus. Labs have all necessary facilities and equipment.they are well maintained. Sports at nitr is so fantastic.
I got food processing in nitr, i took addmission bcoz of Nitr. Curriculum is outdated not only in nitr but in all nits and IITs. In my department food processing there r not many no. Of jobs, but u can go for ms/PhD.
Placements are really good here. I am in food processing and placements for this not that good but we can apply for tech companies at the time of placements bcoz they r open for all. Those who know all about placement stuffs.
Absolutely this is value for money. I have to something about 4.55 lakhs for 4 years. Roi here is very good here.
Don't ask about nitr campus life, at present we have online classes bcoz of covid we are not able to see our campus and feel the campus life. But we r eager to go there
Just one word outstanding for nitr. I always wanted to be in an iit but my rank was not good to get an iit in jee advanced. I joined nitr then and am now very eager to go to campus.
Everything is well established and flourishing. The campus have Lane connection. And the Library have free wi-fi.Living places are clean and food is hygienic. Classrooms are cleaned . We can avail any facilities needed to us any time we want.
It is good. But now it is going online class and it is less worthful. The curriculum is well updated. All profeessors are teaching very well. They are explaining everything very well. I am well satisfied with the academics.
Placements is good. Above 90 percent students are being placed every year. I think I also will get good placement. At my point of view Nit Rourkela is a best college to get placements in reputed multinational companies.
Money is somehow more than I thought. But online class is not so worthful process. At my point of view the fee should be decreased. But if not decreased also , no problem. Students with monetary problems are getting benefits. It is good.
Campus Life is good. It have best features. Students , staffs and teachers are quiet helpful. It is safe. Yes, All we can handle emergencies. Students are engaged in various activities like sports , dance ,songs, etc.
I like it.?
Infrastructure of the institute is outstanding. Nothing like tech. Issues or bad network connection,I have seen here. Regular cleanliness has been done. Making of food and serving is also done in a hygienic way.
I am doing btech in Industrial design coz I like technical designing and my goal is to design for future PlayStation design. The excellence of this institute is in professors hand. They are highly qualified and experienced with accurate knowledge about teaching. Obviously, our department is working on new updates and developments in our field.
Quality of placement is dependent on recruiting companies which is very huge here. About 88percent students got placed. The highest package was of inr 5000000 per annum approx in Microsoft. Average salary is about 10 lakh per annum. The institute is purely supportive and makes this process a easy one.
Its cost about inr 1.2 lakh per annum. I m getting the real worth for what I am paying because it's very clear that the institute is transparent for everything and I am learning whatever my choice was.
Campus is full of surprises. I am discovering new stuff regularly. Its features are best in every case. Every club here has a different level of works. Its very useful for all to get their entertainment in their hobbies . Students and teachers have good collab,I appreciate it,and it can handle emergencies.
Overall, this institute comprises the best facilities with best faculties to achive the needs of the students and also the institute.
NIT Rourkela is known for its infrastructure, the library has a very well-curated collection of information both of print and electronics with free wifi, the hostel life is something that should not be missed out on, the sports facilities and the fitness centre are well-equipped and maintained, the canteens make hundreds of students happy, and the health centre is available in case of emergency. Its a bit sad that we are missing out on all this due to the pandemic.
The teachers are very qualified and extremely knowledgeable. Due to the pandemic we are having online classes, the professors have done a great job transferring the media from offline mode of teaching to online. There are some issues like the internet connection being weak, the online medium getting monotonous etc. Its the best we can do right now.
The placements are very good from what the placement statistics and from what seniors have told us . Industrial design students got placed in Zomato, Think design etc as a UX/UI designer , interaction designer etc. Close to 90% of the students got placements.
Being a government institute, it is much more reasonable than a private institution. The facilities, infrastructure, and faculty are of outstanding standards. The institute also provides various scholarships for those who seek it.
The campus life is amazing. The club culture is stunning and it helps in meeting like-minded people. The fests are breath-taking from what we have heard. The campus life is something we are missing out on due to the pandemic but we are sure it will live up to the expectations.
Studying in NIT Rourkela feels so surreal, it is of the best institutes of our country. The support from the seniors is un-imaginable, it already feels familiar even though I have never been on campus.
The campus is amazing. The infrastructures are all well and working. There is LAN Port in hostel and free WiFi in library. The whole campus is very clean and beautiful. Everything is well-maintained. Hygiene is maintained thoroughly.
I'm studying in electronics and instrumentation engineering. It's a good branch. The industry is building very fast around it. Our teachers are all very good at teaching. Our curriculum is updated regularly to keep up with the developments happening in all Fields.
Very good. Great package is offered. Hundreds of companies visit campus to offer several hundred placements. About 75-80% students were placed. The highest salary was ~40L for computer science engineering and the average salary is about 10L.
My course costs per year is approx. 2L rupees. I definitely feel like I'm getting my money's worth education and experience. The campus life is brilliant. The college offers multiple extracurriculim clubs to learn things outside of syllabus. Teaching and exams are conducted very smoothly. All in all, very good experience.
Love the experience. The best part of being a student in NIT Rourkela is the campus life. The college offers multiple clubs to learn things out of syllabus. The campus is beautiful. Every kind of person will enjoy their stay here. It's absolutely brilliant.
The college has wifi connection along with LAN port provided in hostel rooms , have clean hostels , big mess, big area of campus, the food is hygienic . Every Saturday or Sunday we have good food ,and the students enjoy a lot
I am studying electrical engineering , the professors are ok , quality of teaching is ok , curriculum is updated .yes ,after you complete your study there is placements, which you can grab according to your branch.
About placements I have heard from seniors ,about 98 percent to 99 percent students gets placed, there is good placement opportunities and many big companies come for job placement, the campus is huge ...
It's around 1 lakh per semester ,so it's costly .there are 8 semesters ,so around 10 lakhs in the round figure ... You have to spend a lot of money to educate yourself in this institute...
Campus Life is good , there is enjoyment with friends, and campus is big ,many cultural festivals are celebrated like nirutsav ,many other tech fests are held ,so it's enjoyable to participate in the fests..
It's a good college, and a good renowned college, for overall character development .it can help you to build good character, boost overall personality
My experience about national institute Rourkela is very nice because it was a college with all the thing that a student needs that is good educators, nice campus and easy online interface. Hostel of this college is also good with LAN connection in rooms And wifi connection in the library .placement of the college is also nice .
I was studying in the department of electrical engineering and I found that the lectures of this college are very professional about their work .they are too much educated well-behaving behaving personalities. they are much educated for their job .hence the lectures are good for students and academics .
Placement of this college Is also very nice since it was established .now this college is nursing quietly among other institutes. The average package of this college is nearly 10lac per annum. which is very good among all the nits and some of the IIT also .hence each engineer wants a handsome salary that's why this college is good for them
Majority nits have much less fees as compared to its and among them national institute of technology Rourkela is a good one because here fees of all 5 years are about 6 to 7lac which is very nice since no one wants that to waste money unknowingly .by the placement this college is very good so this college is very value for money.
Campus life is wonderful in this college with approximately 600acres of the campus area.in this college, you can find a swimming pool, grounds for sports and exercise for them who want to be a healthy person. this college has a very big library named biju patnaik central library with wifi also. hence these are all the things a student want
My overall experience with the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela is very wonderful and at last, I want to say that student who wants to create a new thing and make their name in the fields of their interest they can form good personality in that field .becouse this college provide all the necessary thing that all the student want
Yes,our college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments..we are now in online mode classes.still we can see the facilities in many photos..workshop class is like overwhelming..all machines, the environment..i found it great..and there is swimmimg pool..there is facilities for internet in every hostel and free wi-fi in library..we have not got the chance to enjoy food till now..but as far as i have saw in college photos and videos living places are clean and hygenic.
I am currently studying in food process engg. branch 1st yr..i am actually little fond of agricultural studies and processes in food technologies like how they are producing amazing food from simple crops etc. So i have interest in the branch i have chosen.quality of teaching is so good.teachers are helping and clear doubt anytime we ask.they also take test sometime and give us ample time to review our lessons..
I am in 1st yr of graduation..don't know much about placements and all.just from sources i have got to know that placement is really good at NIT rourkela.in the year 2019-20 total 909 job offers were there.the avg CTC was 8.75 and max. CTC was 42..and only in b.tech there were 499 job offers..so i have a positive opinion about the process here.
Our college fee is different for different catagories..as i am from family of annual income 1-5 lakh so for me the fee per semester is like 55,000..and due to this pandemic situation going on i can't properly enjoy the environment of college..but the class and other labs are going well..
I have not got the chance to go to college still..but online classes are going on..the teachers are good, helpful and supportive..they help us clear our academic doubts and all..there are menters for us to help in academics and other things..
The college possess pretty nice infrastructure , with almost all facilities available inside the college premises. There are gyms, labs, and high speed WIFI. The infrastructure is quite well planned with 500 acres.
I am pursuing Btech. The faculty members are quite helpful and cooperate as when required. The curriculum is updated and it makes everyone ready for the job. The curriculum focuses and developing both the hard and the softskills.
There is almost 90% placement for mechanical engineering. Many major recruiter come into our college. The average package is 3LPA and maximum package is 30LPA this year. The college placement cell is supportive and active.
The fees is around 125000RS for general category students and there is special reduction for students who average family income less than 5Lakhs and there is also loan provided to the students who have financial problems.
Campus life is very good with almost all clubs and supportive members from the respective clubs and this college is a ragging free college and the seniors are very supportive and will help us any time we want.
Dear student,
If you're passionate about design and have a decent JEE Main rank, the choice between
ISDI Mumbai (Product Design)
and
NIT Rourkela (B.Tech in Industrial Design)
comes down to your goals.
ISDI Mumbai is a pure design institute focused on creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. The program emphasizes real-world projects, portfolio building, and exposure to Mumbai’s design industry. It’s best for those who want a career in creative design , user experience, or product innovation. Admission is based on the ISDI Challenge , not JEE.
NIT Rourkela
, on the other hand, offers a design-oriented B.Tech that blends engineering and product design. It’s a good fit if you're looking for a
technical degree with a design element
. The course includes CAD, UX, manufacturing, and product development. Admission is through
JEE Main and JoSAA
, with strong placements and a top-tier campus.
Your decision should align with whether you see yourself as a
designer first
or an
engineer with design skills
.
Take your time
