Lovely Professional University (LPU) Hostel

LPU provides residential facilities to its students. The university provides a safe and secure residential facility for boys and girls. Ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs, and disciplinary misconduct are all prohibited at the university. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to the residential facility. LPU residential facilities have dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. For students, in-house laundry services are available at a nominal charge. Fast and convenient bus service is available from most corners of Punjab and nearby areas. The university has a 24 hours 30-bed hospital that is staffed with resident medical officers, medical lab, dieticians and physiotherapists. The indoor sports facility is being introduced with the membership of 3 different packages of games such as swimming, shooting, squash, badminton, volleyball, basketball and combative sports. Lovely Professional University provides quality residence (with above-average necessities) for students' living comforts by keeping student's needs in mind. It has a huge Library System with 11 branches and there are more than 20 lakh books and e-books in all subject fields. Particularly for hosteller students, a gym facility is being offered at two separate locations with subsidised charges.

LPU Hostel Essentials

• Air conditioner, attached washroom, and geyser in each room.

• Wooden box bed, study table, chair and almirah.

• Permission to use electrical gadgets having a maximum load of up to 5 amperes per apartment.

• One and two Seater apartments have an attached lobby and kitchen area.

• 24 hours security services, CCTV surveillance, electricity backup, water supply, staff assistance and medical service (medicines and tests on payment).

• Study room, TV room, lift facility, fire fighting system, purified water facility, maintenance services, Wi-Fi service, free electricity units (as applicable) and playgrounds.

• Mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier shops in all hostels, guest rooms, car wash facility, shopping mall and tuck shops. (The services are available on a payment basis).

LPU Library

Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers a huge Library System with 11 branches. The biggest one is the Central Library located in Block-37. LPU libraries have a total area of 10,000+ sq. mt. There are more than 20+ lakh books and e-books in all subject fields. LPU academic community is well-catered by all departmental libraries. The library system subscribes to a number of journals, magazines and newspapers. A good number of theses/dissertations and research reports are available in libraries. Besides books, the library system also possesses rare book collections, special reports, reference sources, audio-visual material etc. LPU library system uses LIBSYS ILMS for handling day to day routine tasks of all the libraries. It makes use of RFID and a Barcode system for inventory and security of library materials. The library system also offers ICT based resources to its users, such as e-books, e-journals, databases. The E-resources subscribed by University Library are IEEE, Springer, EBSCO, Capitaline, Manupatra, JGate plus, DELNET, JSTOR, Ebooks academic collection, McGraw Hill Ebooks collection, S.Chand Ebooks collection, Shodhganga, Shodhgangotri, INFLIBNET, NDL etc.
