The current NIT Uttarakhand is run on a temporary campus of the government Polytechnic College and one ITI campus at Srinagar, Uttarakhand. A permanent campus is under construction in a place known as Sumari, which is nearby Srinagar. Hostels are available for both boys and girls in the undergrad program. The facilities include bedrooms with 3 beds and tables, one social gathering area and a mess. The food is just eatable.
The faculty is very helpful there. As we know, this is NIT, so their faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable. They teach us in a very manner. Semester exams are difficult but if you go into the class, you will definitely get passing marks and your CGPA will also be better
Especially In mechanical engineering branch, almost 90% students get placed in different companies like TATA, Mahindra, etc. The overall placement at NIT UK is about 80%, which is good. But due to the location, most of the company does not want to come.
Good college of uttarakhand
There is a separate department for every branch, including separate labs, Wi-Fi, and all amenities. The quality of the mess food is good. Every hostel is equipped with LAN, Wi-Fi, a music room, and an open gym. In the first year, you will get a triple-seater room, but from the second year onward, you will be allotted a separate room.
Faculty members are proficient, well-educated individuals in their respective fields. Each class is equipped with both a smart board and a green board. The curriculum remains consistently up-to-date, ensuring readiness for the industry. While semester exams are not overly challenging to pass, achieving high marks.
In every batch, there are 160 students. The placement percentage in my branch is around 80%, with an average of 8.5 LPA. The highest package this year is 70 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiters include L and T, TCS, etc. Almost 65% of students got internships, but only a few secured paid internships.
Facilities are decent. Wi-Fi is available in the CCN and the library, but it is unlimited, whereas LAN access is available in my hostel. It differs from hostel to hostel. The quality of the mess is nice. But sweets are distributed on a daily basis. Sports facilities are excellent.
Teachers are helpful. And a Ph.D. scholar who had good knowledge of the subject. Semester exams are good, especially the c language questions. Light teaching but problems are at a better level. We need to score 15 marks out of 40 in mid-semester 1 and 2. And 20 out of 50 marks for passing.
There are 70 students in NIT. Our branch is new but it comes under the ECE department, it is a more advanced branch of ECE, which includes CSE work as well. The top recruiters are Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Google, Amazon, and TCS. Software developers, IoT developers, consultants, etc. are the roles mostly offered.
The college infrastructure is good; they have a 24-hour open library, a CCN lab to study with computers, and classrooms equipped with smart boards and projectors and there is only charging socket in one room for three students. Mess food is also that good. Lawns are provided they do work properly.
Some professors are good; they will teach in a good way, professors come to class, complete their syllabus. It's very difficult to easy with professors so you have to study on your own. And here, in 1 semester, 2 midterm exams and 1 endterm exam happen.
Placements are good here but they are declining year by year. So many companies are coming and the highest packages were also off campus. The highest package last year was 1.25 crores but this year it has been reduced to 65 LPA. In my course, almost 90 percent of eligible students were placed.
There are 20 hostels for boys and girls. Each hostel has a mess, Wi-Fi, a lab room, a common room, a gym, etc. We can have north and south mess options. The mess menu is decided by the mess committee. The mess committee is students. The mess has a television room and a common room for fun.
There are 4 phases of exams in our college, which include mid-semester exams, quizzes, and the final semester exams. Sometimes open book exams are also conducted according to situations. All exam schedule is prepared at the start of the semester coordinating.
Our college has an excellent placement record. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Goldman Sachs, etc. Our college has a separate department to ensure soft relations with students and companies related to placements.
Facilities are too good. Our college's facilities are of good quality, and the mess food is delicious, as are the medical facilities, sports facilities, and games. There are so many tournaments conducted in our college, like sports fest, etc. And our college will go to so.
Teachers have great knowledge, and they are very helpful and encouraging for the students, not only in academics but also in general. And they will motivate us if we get lower marks in exams or class tests. They will clarify any doubts students have, and they will work on so many projects with students.
90% of students are placed. The highest package offered is INR 55 lpa, . 30% got internships at Microsoft, IBM, etc. A maximum of all students will be placed on campus, and some students who wish to continue their education will decline their placements.
The campus of NIT spreads over 800 acres and is equipped with modern facilities. The institute has well-equipped laboratories, classrooms, and libraries that provide students with educational resources. The campus also has a health canter, sports complex, and other recreational facilities.
The faculty members at NIT is highly qualified and experienced. The institute has a student-faculty ratio of 14:1, which ensures personalized attention to each students. The faculty members are actively involved in research and have published their work in national and international journals.
NIT has consistently maintained a strong placement record. In 2021, the institute witnessed a placement percentage of 90.8%, with 732 students being placed across different sectors. The highest package offered was INR 42 LPA, while the average package offered was INR 8.19 LPA
The electrical lab is very good and clean. However, all instruments are excellent. In my department, we have AC classrooms. The WiFi provided is 2 GB per day. The library is very good it has a wide collection of books. Sports facilities are excellent all the sports grounds are available badminton, tennis, hockey, cricket, etc.
Teachers are helpful. They are well qualified; they are the best in their research fields.but they are really awesome at teaching. You have to put in some extra effort to be industry-ready. The pass percentage is 40 percent in each subject. The difficulty level is average. We have 30 for internal, 20 for midterm, and 50 for the end term.
About 80 percentage of students placed in my course this year. The lowest package is 5 lac per annum, and the highest package offered is 52 lac per annum. The average package is about 11 lac per annum. Top recruiting companies are ONGC, Deloitte, etc.
There are facilities like classrooms, library, ground for sports, medical facilities and hostel. Quality of classes was good and clean. Canteen maintains hygiene, and the college has a clean and friendly environment. Nearby places are also favourable for convenient. Everything is proper and well maintained.
Faculty of my department is very sincere and knowledgeable, and also very helpful. Some teachers are very good towards their students.Teaching quality is super. The curriculum is relevant for students who are the people preparing for GATE and IES exams.
The placement was the benefit, and we worked for good companies. Almost we all got the opportunity and placed. Our college helped a lot to get proper education and knowledge, which were essential and useful. We got the highest, average, and the lowest packages from companies.
Separate hostels are present on the campus for both boys and girls. ATMs of multiple banks are available within the campus. There is an SBI branch available on the campus. The food offered in the hostel and canteen is good. The college provides Wi-Fi facilities in the hostel as well as on the campus.
Faculty members are very good. All of them are well-qualified. Industry exposure provided is not much good. But things are changing now. Only a handful of seminars and a very few industry tours are organised. The course curriculum is useful. Teachers are helpful round the clock.
The average salary package offered was 2.4 LPA to 3 LPA. Mostly, banks like Axis, Mahindra Finance Corp., HDFC mutual fund and Karvy visited the campus for placements. Managerial posts were offered to students. 99% of the students got internships from the college.
Hey, Aspirant
Reputation & Campus Comparison:
NIT Agartala: Established in 1965, larger campus and older Institute.
NIT Uttarakhand: Established in 2009, small urban campus.
Placement Scenario :
NIT Agartala Mechanical Branch has a solid core placement with a package around 7 LPA avg.
NIT Uttarakhand ECE Branch has strong IT and core placement with a package of 10 LPA avg to max of 32 LPA .
Recommendation :
Choose NIT AGARTALA (Mech) if you prefer a well established campus with core engineering placements.
Choose NIT UTTARAKHAND (ECE) if you prefer go on IT side with high package.
Hope this helps you choose one .
