Yes, here the infrastructure is so well maintained by the concerned authorities. We are getting the facilities of adequate laboratories, libraries, sports centre, hostels, and most importantly a sweet and beautiful campus, apart from the campus restaurants. Here the entire campus is filled with greenery and good vibes. A must to be visited campus.
Some professors over here are exceptionally good. You will feel elated while the class going on. Passion is what makes them different from everyone other. Although not alike you coaching teachers, still you will be satisfied with the teaching faculties.
About the placements, you can trust this institute. Here students are getting placed in various reputed companies, and in various renowned institutes too if you are from Science background. Technical field placement is fully satisfactory.
It's absolutely good in terms of value-for-money. You will be provided all sorts of facilities, be it in terms of campus life or be it academics. You will be satisfied after being in the institute. Overall you don't have to worry much.
The campus is one of the best thing at NITR. I guess the most beautiful campus you could ever get the chance to see. Filled with greenery, a beautiful swimming pool, and a massive and glorious campus. One would surely be in trauma after being in the campus.
The best thing about the institute is its widespread horizon of club culture. Technical, Film and Music, Games and Sports, and Literary and Cultural are the four societies at SAC. Apart from skills, the clubs teach you personal development and time management.
I think Nit rourkela infrastructure is excellent and facilities are also good . but the equipment for Msc. integrated course there is not so satisfying. because this course mainly based on research and experiment. so there is need more advanced equipment. but there is no more advanced equipment. About classrooms, laboratories, sports centres and hostels, I don't know more about this because , i am study online now. As I listened there might be some problems in food.
I'm from Integrated Msc. and till now I found that studying level is excellent. our professors are much more talented. they have sufficient knowledge to teach us. I think curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. study level is excellent of this college. about job I think we must have to do PHd.
About placements . I think there is not much option without doing PhD. because in Integrated MSc. there is not so much options are available . but when we do hard labour . we can placed. All over placement ratio is satisfying because NitR is a reputed engineering college.
I Think course cost per year is sufficient .
I Don't know because till now I'm studying online . because of corona pandemic.
With 1200 (approx) acre of campus, NIT Rourkela is India's 2nd largest institute after IIT Kharagpur. It's infrastructure include everything one could possibly imagine. For every branch or stream there's seperate building. For every branch there're satisfactory and required equipment. Every hostel has a LAN wifi connection and students can get all the facilities in sports as well. Hostels are well managed and clean moreover cleaning is done on regular basis. Canteens and mess is clean.
I'm student of metallurgy and material department that conventionally students don't like to be in. The faculties are educated and good enough to teach us and they're friendly and very interactive. You'll surely be ready for job with such faculties as your guide who guides you in your journey.
As of being in NIT, we expect to have a very satisfactory placement and this NIT provides the exact thing that someone can possibly think of. You can get your dream job. Percentage of students getting placed is quite high compared to other Nits and you can get placed easily in the desired field. Salary you'll get is very satisfactory and 42 lakh was the highest package offered in 2019. So placement is very fine and one can get a job with high salaries
I don't know about other courses but for BTech, for the 1st year you have to pay for around 2.20 lakhs and after that you'll have to pay 2 lakhs per year including hostel, tution fee, etc.
Campus is very beautiful and eye soothing. One can get everything that they want from sports to swimming pool to activity rooms. You can have fun for 4 years.
My experience for now is great and waiting for next 4 years.
Yes College have all necessary facilities like proper separate building for each departments.NITR has good classrooms and laboratories with advanced facilities and great libraries where you will find all text books and also referral books.
I am studying under Lifescience branch and our teachers are very famous not only in India but also all over world. They are really helpful and also very friendly . All faculties are well qualified and they explaine each chapter really well.
NITR is very famous for its placement statistics. The overall placement rate is above 90% and is one of the best institute in terms of placement. In my department the placement rate in between 2019-20 is around more than 80% which is really good I think. And in other departments also like computer science (97%) , Ecs(90% above).
I am under Integrated MSc program and I pay around 1 lakh per year (2 semisters) and I think the money I am paying is totally worth it .
Campus is really good. We have fully WiFi campus including hostel also. We have all type of activity facilities also like cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, swimming pool etc. I am enjoying here.
My overall experience is really great going here.
Infrastructure of this college is very good , sufficient area, having the second most large campus after IIT kharaghpur and and a new building was made recently in order to improve infrastructure as well.
Quality of teaching is also very well through online , teachers are very cooperative and helpful they clear every doubts that pupils have, as we are going through online classes not experiencing of a offline class , still it is very good in online mode.
Comparing all the nits it is the second best one having good placement records and the highest salary package was 41 lakh of my school senior in CSE and in other branches average packages are like 6 lpa to 12 lpa.
MY Course costs about 124000 per year, yes because NIT ROURKELA is showing faith for poor students so as i also belong to a poor family and getting benefited for this kind of act , and can study easily without any pressure relating finance.
As we are on the 1 st year , we don't have any experience about the campus life when we will go to the campus we wil know much further about it. and but from youtube videos it is imaginable that campus life seems to be excellent.
AS about the experience we are not having any much experience about campus life but through online classes we are getting that teaching is very good and cooperation by the teachers is excellent and but in practicals we are having some problems but guess to be solved when we will go to campus ,Moreover it is good .
Yes NIT Rourkela have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. In our classes we have smart boards, wifi and other necessities. The place is very beautiful and clean. Also everything is very well maintained. The college even have some of the very expensive research techniques.
I'm pursuing Btech Electrical Engineering. The quality of teaching is extremely good. Teachers are so understanding. The curriculum is also updated. I think after completion of course I'd be expert in my course.
The placement scenario of the college is very good. Around 93 percent of students were placed and highest package offered was around 45 lakhs in CSE. Average salary offered was around 9 lakhs. Placement process was smooth.
Yes the cost is so minimal and faculty is very understanding and helps economically by giving time.
The college campus is very beautiful. It's all greenary all around. Students can engage in many club activities of their choice. Teachers and staff are very supportive. The location is so beautiful. It's very safe. It has all facilities to handle emergencies.
It's one of the best Institute of the World. You're going to enjoy studying here.
NIT ROURKELA'S campus is one of the most beautiful campus in India, spreading over a huge area of over 262 hectares and is the 2nd largest campus in India. NIT RKL'S campus has it all starting from different buildings for various departments including labs , around 10 hostels with messes and night canteens in all of those. There is a separte field for games like cricket, football etc. It also has an olymoic sized swimming pool and a sac and the campus is well maintained.
I'm a first year engineering student at nit rkl and the cirriculam is quite diverse. At nit rkl we study different subjects starting from basic programming , physics ,chemistry to biology. Nit rkl believes in the impartment of knowledge rather than the attainment of marks and hence it gives such a diverse cirriculam and after the first year when the branch comes to play even then the course is more focused on practical stuffs rather than the bookish knowledge. The professors are highly qualified
Nit rkl has one of the best placement percentage. The average package ranges around 9 to 10 lakhs . The average CSE package ranges from 13 to 14 lakhs and the domestic package goes as high as 40LPA . There is an entire team called the placement cell that works for providing the students with the opportunity they deserve .
I'll have to pay around 2LPA for my stay at nit rkl which includes everything mess fees, tution fees, etc. There are variuos scholarships provided to the students from economically weaker sections which can help them . Yes, i think nit rkl is worth the money taking into consideration the infrastructure , campus life and academics.
campus life at nit rkl is probably why people join this college. Nit rkl has such a vast campus that that it takes months to fully explore the campus . Night canteens ,night life at nit rkl with friends is something one can't miss . There are so many stories related to different spots in nit rkl and it is fun to find out more about them.
Being a part of the covid batch life has been tough I'm yet to go to my campus but I'm sure one day i will and that day will perhaps be the mark of a new beginninig the beginning of the best life.
In National institute of technology Rourkela, there's an outstanding infrastructure and campus. It has all the facilities, may it be proper labs, equipments for practical or the things related to club culture. We have classrooms of wide space, a library of variety of books, in the sports centre there are all the facilities available be it hockey, or athelete or Cricket. In our hostels there is LAN connection with very good internet connectivity. And the mess food is also quite good and hygienic.
I'm enrolled in 4 year mining engineering course. And I'll say the teaching is good. The professors are much helpful. And yes, the curriculum is updated, we can't say 100% because the technology is growing exponentially but to a greater extent it is updated. And yes it has the potential to give job to a person.
The placement quality in NIT Rourkela is very impressive. It has placement percentage of 85%. The highest package offered was from Microsoft to CSE branch which was 41LPA last year. The average package is 10LPA. And as far as I know, as per senior experiences, the college is very supportive in this section and the process is easy and convenient.
The cost per semester in general is 99000, but there are many scholarships and fee waivers for the needy students. And the cost is definitely worth it because the wide exposure you will be getting is exceptionally good, the club culture will amaze you a lot, the seniors you will be getting are very helpful. The academics is also good. And I'm definitely finding it worth the money.
The campus is spread over 647 acres, that's really very big, although it is of 1100 acres but the rest is under construction. It is much eco-friendly, green, less pollution is there. The best feature is the campus itself. Once do visit it, it'll capture a space in your heart. The activities a student can engage is what you can think of, may it be sports or dance or debating, just anything you could think of. The students here are very multi talented. The location has good connectivity. It's safe
I would like to tell the aspirants, if you are getting a seat in the college, definitely do a visit, then decide you will take admission or not. Personally for me, it is quite good. And do remember it is one of the old nits. So, it's reputation is also much high. So that's it.
Nit rourkela is a huge wide resedential campus is one of the biggest in the country.it is one of the oldest campus in india. The campus comprises of huge dormitories, libraries and study block for each department.starting from the dormitories, which are probably the most important buildings in the campus, they are fully equipped with single, double and tripple bedded rooms, gyms and highly essential night canteens and mess area. food available better than average .of course we cannot expect home foods
I am a student of metallurgical and materials engineeering.due to COVID 19 pandemic this year we are running online.we have online classes and the no: of days of semester has been reduced.Teachers has huge experience to deal with students makes it easier for us also to cope up with the studies and syllabus . Alongside education we also have research courses for the students who love to research.
The placement is quite good in rourkela.NIT Rourkela placements 2020 have witnessed a total of 909 job offers. The highest CTC of Rs 42 LPA was bagged by a BTech student and the average salary is 8.75 LPA.For placement, the reputation of college is somewhere important and as NIT Rourkela is among top NITs so somewhere it will be easy for NIT Rourkela student to get placed.
I pay RS36500 per semester because my parents income is less than1LAKH . NIT Rourkela is like dream for most of us as we know it is pretigious college in engineering so there must be not the question of our money will be going to worth it or not. money always worth if you are studying in NIT Rourkela.
Life cannot be better ever anywhere other than NIT Rourkela.NIT Rourkela is a cool place.A huge campus filled with greenery that you will feel like you are just out of pollution world so many clubs are there that you can improve your personalities as much you can.Rules are very strictly followed. No compromise in studies or attendence will be entertained.
National Institute Of Technology Rourkela is the Institute of National importance and its NIRF ranking in 2020 is 16 so these credentials itself describe how good is the infrastructure and all other facilities at NITR.Also recently a Diamond Jubilee building is made which is has all facilities.Big grounds with flood lights,LA building, hostel facilities all are it's best.
NITR is known for its academic curriculum, it has modern academic curriculum which fulfill the need of industry. It doesn't lag in any field. Our professors are very qualified and our classes are also very interactive. In online classes also we have very interactive classes. When it come to industrial knowledge after graduation, NITR has all modern facilities to embrace the technical knowledge of its students
Many companies visit our campus for placement drives being from core or non core.So students have very vast field to join in.Overall placement percentage ranges from 80%-85% ,with average placement around 8-9 lpa.So overall placement can be considered good.
Dear student,
If you're passionate about design and have a decent JEE Main rank, the choice between
ISDI Mumbai (Product Design)
and
NIT Rourkela (B.Tech in Industrial Design)
comes down to your goals.
ISDI Mumbai is a pure design institute focused on creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. The program emphasizes real-world projects, portfolio building, and exposure to Mumbai’s design industry. It’s best for those who want a career in creative design , user experience, or product innovation. Admission is based on the ISDI Challenge , not JEE.
NIT Rourkela
, on the other hand, offers a design-oriented B.Tech that blends engineering and product design. It’s a good fit if you're looking for a
technical degree with a design element
. The course includes CAD, UX, manufacturing, and product development. Admission is through
JEE Main and JoSAA
, with strong placements and a top-tier campus.
Your decision should align with whether you see yourself as a
designer first
or an
engineer with design skills
.
Take your time
