NIT Silchar has all the necessary infrastructure , facilities and equipment that are required for any national level college. Although some equipments are missing but overall it never feels to not have those equipments.Classes are open and have a good ventilation. Also food is not that hygienic , not as your home food but decent hygiene is maintained throughout campus.Some hostels has better food compared to other but it totally depends on your hostel.Note that your hostel will change yearly.

I am studying Electrical Engineering and I choose it because it gives me a chance to explore both core and IT sector . Although it is said to e toughest branch but I find it easy as compared to Electronics subject but still it's completely my point of view. Curriculum is obviously not up to date but we are enginners learn what and how to learn .

Quality of placement is decent and growing throughout years.But due to recession there is a downfall in graph but still considering all of this and having an average package of 13LPA for electrical engineering is well and good for now.

My course costs 1.6L per year .I feel that my money paid here is all worth because it teaches me a lot of things not only academic, extra curriculum as well like communication skills and also it gives me exposure to what I should do in order to achieve my goals.

College campus is decent . I will say it lacks at some points but still it overall fulfils the campus life ,also what would you expect from such a big campus . Campus is safe for girls and there are no issues of safety. Location is not that good.

Our college infrastructure not so good, in boys hostel in which room is for two person three are alloted, wifi is given on every floor but internet speed is like streaming 360p video with buffering. Our college have a digital library, in which each semester students can issue books.Food quality is average in our hostels.

I'm currently studying Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering , because its a good branch after CS, EC in this college. The quality of teaching is not so good, professors come and read ppt or thier notes and go like other colleges.

Overall placements of our college is 90%, The highest salary package offered was 80LPA, to Computer Science student. The average salary offered was 12-13 LPA. Yes ,the placement process was easy here, as our college has TNP(Training and placement cell), which make it easy for students.

Our course cost approximately 1.12 lac per semester generally including tution and hostel fees, in which tution fees is null for SC/ST students.Yeah , as its a government college which has more value than any other private colleges.Our money worth it, if we do B-Tech in any other private college will cost approximately 5 lacs per year.

Our college campus, its best features is its green environment, it has more than 20 lakes and some lakes are so beautiful .Students can engage in many activities including sports like cricket, football, etc. Our campus looks more beautiful when its raining. As its located at higher place in Silchar there is no fear of flood. As here thunderstrikes often takes place .

Firstly our college has all the basic facilities and equipments .We have two playground one is for cricket and other is for football.We have a sports complex which has badminton court , gym , kho-kho ground and kabaddi. We have an another sports complex which includes badminton and table tennis and also has a tennis court. We have the largest digital library other than nits,iits,gftis.But our hostels are decent .

The quality of teaching in NITS is good .Professors are highly qualified and helpful in solving the problems .Our curriculum is updated and includes recent developments in the field.Students are taken to the field visit for their practicals.

The Quality of placements in NITS is good . The percentage of placed students is increasing over the years. In 2023, the highest salary package offered is 80 LPA. If we have the skills then we can crack the good salary package offered.

As per as my experience there are some issues regarding food hygienic and some infrastructure also, our academic building are not well coloured.our class rooms are not well designed and also in mess ,we lost lots time for taking food .

I am studying here to get good knowledge and experiences,I am studying here for updating myself from a boy to a good man,a good citizen,so that I can serve our country but sometimes I feel that here we need more development in our curriculum.

In our college, placement criteria is average some students are getting job but some students are not getting job . As per as my knowledge the median package in our college is 11lpa and recruiter are Amazon, Microsoft etc.

In this college,my course cost per year is 45000 . Yes I getting my money's worth because I hope that my college wil give me good knowledge and experiences,good job and also I hope our college will update day by day.

My college campus is average or I would say that it's good there are greenery in our campus and we can engage many activities in our college,in our college seniors are very helpful they always help us in different activities.

Regarding labs, they are well-equipped and spacious, can accomodate any people. Classrooms are of conventional pattern. Sports facilities are good, professional court for lawn tennis and badminton provided, along with 2 large cricket stadium, football grounds and basketball courts. Our college has Asia's largest Digital library. College is equipped with 24*7 hour LAN. Living spaces are average, food is almost hygienic.

I am currently in Electrical department, I do wanted to opt for Computer Science and Engineering but my rank let me have Electrical Engineering only. Faculties are very knowledgeable, with PHD degrees from various IITs, and lots of research papers been published by them.

Placement were really good this year. With highest package being above 80 lakhs. Lots of recruiters gave a visit to the college. Computer Science department did exceptionally well with its average being above 24 lakhs.

It can easily take 8-10 lakhs for 4 years in this college including everything. And i think it's very worth the money, because the average of this college is above 12 lakhs so the ROI is very nice, and the money invested is easily recoverable.

There's always something or the other happening in the college. Be it club activities or seminars. Students are very safe inside the campus, there's no possibility of stealing due to external sources. It is a bit in the outskirts of the city, so emergencies might be a bit problematic at night.

Overall, taking admission in this college is surely worth it.

College infrastructure , facilities and equipments are not good . College has only 3 girls hostel which girls have to adjust …There are small small rooms in which 3-5 girls stay which creates suffocation and unhygienic environment

Academic pressure is more here as there is much competition between students …Teachers are also very strict .They don’t give relaxation to students if we see in a positive way then teachers teach very well and make our doubts clear and exams conducted here makes us ready for the job

Placements are good here …If you have good skills then you can achieve what you have dreamt of. Placement are excellent for computer science students and also for electronics and communication students

Campus life is awesome because this college have a beautiful campus close to nature . Very far from the city near to lakes and trees , this college have 20+ lakes and chaos beauty

Our college has all the basic necessary infrastrure and facilities.Our classroom has the normal boards and also has a projector in some of our classrooms.We have the largest digital library than the other nits,iits and gftis.We have a decent sports facilities and they are somewhat maintained. Our hostels are not that up to the mark.

I am currently in the 2nd year of the electrical department.Our professors are very helpful but our curriculum are not updated . It is only theoretical based and it doesnot include all the recent developments.

The quality of the placements at our college is increasing year after year. The percentage of the students were placed is 89.40% and the highest salary package offered was 80 LPA. It was offered to the CSE department.The average package offered was 14.39 LPA.

Being a phd scholar at department of mechanical engineering from production engineering of national institute of technology silchar assam I can say the college has all necessary tools and equipment for the doctorates

The academics of mechanical department of national institute of technology sil char is very suitable for phd students the curriculum is also as per needs of doctoral students it also has the extracurricular activities
