NIT Surathkal (NITK) Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

My college consists of most facilities, equipments and has a decent infrastructure. In terms of college wifi it provides 10GB to each student every day. The mess and hostel is well maintained. There are 2 libraries and all academic related books can be easily accessed through both online and offline through nitk websites making it convenient for students to browse or get a hard copy at their convenience. The sports arena consists of unisex gym , all sport equipments and a clean big grounds (including 2 basketball, volleyball and throwball spaces separately). Every sport event is encouraged and monitored well.

I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in EE and the quality of teaching is good since the professors have large expertise and experience of their fields. As far as the curriculum it is well updated and the labs conducted for particularly this branch is satisfactory.

From past years NITK is well known for its high placements in core branches and has proven its words which can be seen through the trends in past years. Average of 93% students were placed in EE and highest package offered was around 54lakhs per annum. The college is really supportive in regards of placements and highly wants it's students to land on proper jobs.

The course roughly costs around a lakh per year and including hostel,mess charges or will be around 2 lakh per year. Nevertheless students do get fee concession for having lesser income and the institute encourages students to apply for scholarships also. The money invested in here is surely worth it.

The best part of the college is it's nature and NITK beach. The students are really active organising one or the other events everyday through different clubs. There is also regional clubs that encompasses different cultures and celebrate every Eve. Both extracurricular and academics can be achieved in here. There is no literal worst part about the campus. The weather is a bit challenging to adjust. It's either too hot or rainy.

I have shared most of the things above and I can assure that if will ba a memorable and learn worthy journey

The college infrastructure is impressive with modern facilities and well-maintained buildings. Classrooms are equipped with the latest technology, and there are ample spaces for group discussions and studying. The library is extensive, providing access to a wide range of resources and the study environment is maintained. Overall, it creates a conducive environment for learning and academic growth.

The academic program is rigorous and comprehensive, offering a diverse range of courses taught by experienced faculty members. The curriculum is designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to various industries. Additionally, there are ample opportunities for research, internships, and extracurricular activities to enrich the learning experience and prepare students for their future careers.faculty members are friendly and helpful sometimes they care weaker students individually which is a great thing ofcourse.

The college boasts strong ties with industry leaders, facilitating high employment rates for graduates. Career services provide personalized support, including resume building and interview preparation. Internship opportunities offer hands-on experience, enhancing students' marketability in the job market. Knowledge is also provided on how to Excel in placements .

The scholarship scheme provided wil somewhat help in this matter . And yes it facilities are worth for money. Like water supply hostel maintenance wifi connections are well provided.

Enjoyable one

Departments infrastructure is good, but hostels are quite old, new infrastructure is being built at the moment. As it is a government college and college of national importance they don't compromise when it comes to infrastructure.

The teachers here are well qualified and everybody is pretty credible when it comes to what they teach. All the profs here have phds in what they do, and many have also worked in industries, thus bringing that knowledge into what they teach.

Placements in general until this year(2022) have been good. The placement cell in the college, from what i have heard from my seniors, is cooperative and help out students. Albeit this year due to recession the placement season and campus hiring took a hit, but in general the placement and internship is good with big companies like Microsoft, Amazon coming for hiring.

The value for money is immeasurable, considering NITK is a government college the fees is not much. The total fees including hostel comes out to about 2 lakh per annum, but the amount of exposure and networking one gets here is invaluable.

The campus life in general is pleasurable. We have two fests in an academic year, one technical in odd sem, and one cultural in the even sem(incident). Other than that the support staff is very cooperative and responsible, and due to its close proximity to urban areas of mangalore and udupi one doesn't feel bored during weekends.

College infrastructure is decent.They are building new hostels and lecture halls with modern facilities but old ones will feel less maintained sometimes. Library is very good. Sports complex is also good.

In terms of academics NITK is better. All professors are PhD s and have great knowledge and experience in their respective fields. They worked in industries also so they make you prepare practically. And curriculum is is focused on more practical things.

Placement cell is very supportive. Last year's average ctc was 20.809 lakhs and 670+ students got placed. Average ctc and number of students placed is more for circuital branches and it decreases to non circuital branches.

It's value for money.

Campus life is great

The college infrastructure is really good. Nitk is a really big college. It has a gym , swimming pool and even a private nitk beach. There are all the facilities inside the campus itself. And the college is really clean .

As you may know nitk is a technical college. So mba is just a department in this college. So not much importance is given to this department . But the teachers are really good and the curriculum is very well updated. It also gives many opportunities to make ourselves updated.

The placements are also good here. 8 LPA is the Average package and many great companies comes here for placements. And last year 80% students got placed. The college is very supportive for placements.

Compared to other other colleges, here the fees for mba is a bit low. So the ROI is good. The tuition fees is per year 1 lack and including other fees, for 2 years it could be 4 lacks which is less compared to bschools.

Here we will get a nice campus life. There are many clubs in which students can engage in. As all the facilities are there inside the campus there is no need to go outside. Also there is no hostel curfew. It is really nice to walk inside the campus at night.

NITK has all the facilities related to banking, post office, food canteens, shopping centres etc. All the classrooms are well equipped with projector, Wi-Fi, white and green boards etc. All the lecture hall complexes are well maintained.

I am pursuing Information Technology course in NITK. The best part of the course is that it makes us capable to survive in the upcoming software industry. The course teaches various technologies that are being used in today's scenario.

The placements of NITK are actually very good. The highest package of IT branch in 2023 was 51 LPA. The average package was 24 LPA. The percentage of students placed in the same year is 100%. The placements process is a bit difficult because there are no. of technical round interviews and coding tests.

The course cost per year is around 1000000(10 lac). Along with that there are some scholarships also for the students. Students whose family income is less 1,00,000 per annum get some fee waiver benefits as well.

The campus life of NITK is so thrilling and joyful. There is no ragging in the campus. NITK has its own beach. Students go there and get chill. There are many cultural clubs that organizes some fun acitvities regularly.

We have air conditioning facilities in our classroom with smart classes . They also provide clean and hygienic place to us.All classroom have well furnished benches and have a projector for the presentations .....

Some teachers were quiet rude and biased too as they give attendance to some children who didn't come to college.and they keep growing our university so that more and more companies come for you placement, the curriculum is also upto the marks.

A high percentage of students are placed every year,with numerous top-tier companies visiting the campus for recruitment.Best scope for cse in this college, students get job with higher package just because of facilities support.

There are lawns ,botanical garden for botany students and for people who love nature..our all classrooms are air conditioned, and has smart board facilities.College is big enough for program events all is good. It has big cricket ground

teacher are so good and well qualified in their course of studying all have much experience . Each subject is easily understood by all teachers. their way of method of teaching is very good and understandable. but all professors are very strict.

now a days recession is going on. so, there is some bad affects on placements. year of 2022 placement is good but not very good.Most people go for Finance, Consulting and Software Development roles. Although it is not as settled as Circuital Branches

The college area has wifi facility with good connection and 2 computer labs accessible to everyone. Recently a new medical room.We have a good and hygienic food in our college canteen within the budget. We have very good environment in college.

teachers of great experience and knowledge in their respective fields, apart from that diffrent courses have been offered for students.There is Punctuality and discipline in my department and also in the overall college,teachers and staff are good and well behaved

Average placement of college is upto 4 lacs/anum to 5 lacs/anum. Each teacher help in placement various companies visit to college for placements..career.Around 8 companies were visited to our college in the finance stream which is provided a good amount of package.

It has library no wifi available or any sports centre.. Big play ground well maintained living spaces are clean . It has all the necessary facilities which are required such as 10- well equipped Computer labs, seperate labs for hardware,DBMS, and other fields..

They teaches according to the syllbus and the circulum and the there is no need to study extra for the exam as their classes are well enough to score in the exams..Most of the faculties are supportive ,Our course is very detailed , that gives us lot of knowledge for higher education.

Day by day ,the graph of placement is increasing very rapidly. CSE,ECE, EE are most preferred branches for placement.College also provide training for the placements as well so the students no need to worry about their placments
