Have a question related to NIT Jalandhar ?

You got two choices: CSE at GNDU (Computer Science) or IPE, Chemical, or Biotech at NIT Jalandhar.

If you like coding, computer jobs, or want to work in tech companies, choose CSE at GNDU. Computer Science has better jobs and high salary, even if it's not from NIT.

If you want the "NIT" tag (famous college) and are okay with other branches (not computers), choose NIT Jalandhar. But the jobs in Chemical or Biotech may not pay as much as CSE.

Simple advice: If your main goal is good placement and tech jobs, go with CSE at GNDU. If you care more about big college name (NIT) and don’t mind non-computer branches, go with NIT Jalandhar.

Should I take IPE in NIT Jalandhar or CSE in Uiet Hoshiarpur or ECE in CCET Chandigarh.I cannot afford cse in CU or LPU like colleges. I have 92.2%ile and CRL of 1.16 lakh in jee mains

Considering your JEE Mains rank of 1.16 lakh and percentile of 92.2, let's evaluate the options:

Option 1: IPE in NIT Jalandhar

          - Branch: Instrumentation and Process Engineering (IPE) might not be as popular as CSE or ECE, but it's a niche field with good job prospects.

          - College: NIT Jalandhar is a reputable institution with a good rating (4.1/5).

Option 2: CSE in UIET Hoshiarpur

          - Branch: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a highly sought-after field with excellent job opportunities.

          - College: UIET Hoshiarpur is affiliated with Punjab University, and its CSE program has a rating of 3.7/5.

Option 3: ECE in CCET Chandigarh

          - Branch: Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a core branch with good job prospects.

          - College: CCET Chandigarh is located in a prime location, offering access to various opportunities, and has a better faculty compared to UIET Hoshiarpur. ECE at CCET is considered better than most courses.

Based on the information, here's a suggestion:

          - If you're interested in CSE, UIET Hoshiarpur might be a good option, but consider the college's reputation and placement record.

          - If you're inclined towards ECE, CCET Chandigarh seems like a better choice due to its location, faculty, and placement opportunities.

          - IPE in NIT Jalandhar is also a viable option if you're interested in the instrumentation and process engineering field.

Ultimately, prioritize your interests and career goals when making a decision. Consider factors like college culture, location, and alumni network in addition to branch and college reputation.

I am from Punjab so I have home state quota and my CRL rank is 227000 and SC category rank is 15000 Is there any chance of me getting CSE in NIT jalandhar

With a CRL rank of two hundred twenty-seven thousand and an SC category rank of fifteen thousand, your chances of getting Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at NIT Jalandhar may be challenging. NIT Jalandhar is a popular institute, and CSE typically has higher cutoffs.

However, having home state quota can improve your chances slightly. Here are some considerations:

          1. Check Previous Year Cutoffs : Look at the previous year's opening and closing ranks for SC category students in CSE at NIT Jalandhar.

          2. Counseling Process : Participate in the JoSAA counseling process, as it can provide better clarity on your chances.

          3. Alternative Branches : If CSE is not available, consider other branches of engineering that may have lower cutoffs.
