Good infrastructure having lush green campus and beautiful places to visit, greenry all around .it is having only one ground where everyone play and buildings are bit old ..hostels are average and have sufficient facility.
I am studing compiter science and engineering in this college .curriculum is old .attendance is compulsory here which seems a annoying because we generally not study in classes and go early morning just for attendance.
National Institute of Technology, hamirpur has a good placement record having average of 17 lakh in 2023 .Last year its heighest package gone was 1.51 cr. Placements are both in campus and off campus .Many companies visit here such as amazon ,bloomburg etc.
Campus life is bit challenging because of old infrastructures and one can find sufficient facilities and have a good experience ...i will give a good thunbs up to have well maintaind greenry .campus life is good.
Nit Hamirpur is located in the one of most beautiful places in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. College infrastructure is good but the hostel washroom situation is not very good but most important for playing there is facility in 2020 there was sac inaugurated whose cost is 57 crores.
Academic is not good in the college but it is average in the first year teacher most asked students for doing assignment lots of files which is not important for the development of the students but after first year assignment given by the teachers is less.
Placement record of the college is very good for cse department you can get a very high package but for lower branches jobs are there but packages are less but most of the students are taking placement in tech industry which is the growing field in India at this time
Yes, it has all the necessary facilities except swimming pool. We have new AC Lecture Hall and first year hostel is equipped with lan connection in every room. Yes the mess and other things are well maintained and somewhat Hygienic.
I am currently studying B. Tech in CS becoz i am interested in coding. No. I don't think that our curriculum is updated their syllabus is not up to date. What we study helps us in jobs but not more into MNCs.
As far as placements are concerned they are quite good in the recent academic years. Students can beg packages as high as 1.5 crore. Last year for CSE branch average was near about 14 Lpa which this year increased to 17Lpa.
My course fees is 1lac per sem. Yes , I think it's worth of money becoz afterall i am getting nit tag.
Yes, Good infrastructure, Clean environment, All necessary facilities . In new LH all rooms have AC, Digital board, good laboratory, Good Network in library, Good ground for cricket, For first year KBH hostel is alloted.
Not much good system,Having pressure, stress during exam time , assignments, but some facilities are quite good. Wifi is fast in libraries, reading halls are provided to students and are open 12x7. Also college id helps you get many things online for a discount.
Good placement in NITH. Competitive environment for coding students. A lot of clubs for placement preparations good average placement special in mechanical branch highest salary was 35 lac two times which is quite good.
Talking about infrastructure college has a nice one with natural beauty.. Classroom are also good . Sports facilities provided are good. But wifi is generally not available everywhere also the mess food is not too good.
AllMost all teachers are interactive ,friendly with students excpet the some. Assignments provided are some times very big also attendance is compulsory for sitting in end semesters. CUrriculum is not that much updated.
Placements wise college stands at nice place . Last year placement rate for CSE branch was 94%,for mechanical it was 88% and overall placements for all branches was good. Cse branch holds an average of 17Lpa tgis year.
Infrastructure of the college is quite good. All the necessary shops can be found in the campus easily. A wide variety of flora and fauna can also be seen here. Hostels are equipped with gyms and some indoor game facilities are also provided.
Talking to academics the curriculum is not that much updated first year students are taught all rhe subjects irrelevant of the branches they have. 50% attendance is also compulsory to be able to sit in end semester exams.
Recent placements are quite good some students are getting placed for crores. The average package is different for every branch. For some good branches like CSE it is approximately 17 Lpa for this year.
College infrastructure is quite good. Most of the departments have their own building. Also labs are full equipped with the proper instruments but they are very old aged. Reading hall is open 12×7 with high speed wifi.
Coming to academics they are not that much updated. Every branch is taught the same syllabus in first year. Also teachers provide many assignments with right deadlines. Attendance too is compulsory 50% for letting you sit in exams.
Placements are upto ones expectations. Most of the students get placed every year both on-campus and off-campus with packages going upto crores. This year the highest package was of 1.73 crores with CSE branch having an average of 17 Lpa.
College infrastructure is good. It have different buildings for different departments and a big ground is provided where many sports can be played at once. An students activity centre is also provided for the works of different clubs and some indoor games like snooker, badminton.
Academics are decent. You have to study on your own in some of the subjects. You can't depend on professors for your semester exams fully. Also the assignments provided by them is a hectic tak to do and attendance too is compulsory.
Palacements are better. This year it have touched 3.5 crore(off-campus) . And average placement is also good if we look into it branch wise .The highest package placed from Dual Computer science and minimum package placed of 12.5 lakhs.
Very good infrastructure. All basic facilities are there. Classrooms have projector and has huge capacity to accommodate students. Library has section wise portion for self study with minimum distraction.Overall good.
On an average, both hindi and English languages are used . First year is full of mess. Almost every branch subjects are taught and especially workshops and Engineering drawing classes. Rest depends on student how they perceive studies.
To be honest,I don't have much idea about this. But previous year highest package was approximately 1.5cr to a chemical branch student. Rest it depends how skilled you are . Companies along with sponsors like github do visit the campus.
Dude, every engineering course cost approx 10-15 lakh whether it is private or government. So, rather than comparing focus on your skill development then automatically it will worth it. Inculcate habit of learning new tech.
On the level of safety, this area is quite safe. At a walk you will have food corners, Nestle cafe etc. It has a large campus . Its has a sunset view point which is amazing. If you want to see greenery and you are from metropolitan cities then it can be good for you.
Yes most of the necessary facilities are provided. Wifi is generally distributed all over the institute except hostels. The college is clean and green. It has a big ground with many courts available there. Like one can also play lawn tennis there and a students activity centre is also there.
I am a student of mechanical branch. Most of the Teachers here are good but all of them provide assignments. Curriculum also is not much updated in first year all the students are taught same subjects irrespective of their branches.
Placements are quite good as compared to many colleges. Approximately 88% students are placed every year and highest package may go upto crores. This year average package was around 12-13 Lpa and for the top branches like CSE it was around 17Lpa.
Campus is clean and well maintained. Variety of flora and fauna can be seen here.

With 81.69 percentile in JEE Main under the General EWS category, getting ECE in JMI, AMU, JNU, or NIT Hamirpur would be quite difficult. For these institutes, the cutoff for ECE usually stays higher, often above 90–95 percentile for EWS candidates. JMI and AMU tend to have competitive cutoffs because of limited seats, while JNU and NIT Hamirpur also require a higher percentile. However, you still have good chances in other NITs, IIITs, or state-level colleges where the cutoff percentile is comparatively lower.
