College infrastructure is quite good. Most of the departments have their own building. Also labs are full equipped with the proper instruments but they are very old aged. Reading hall is open 12×7 with high speed wifi.
Coming to academics they are not that much updated. Every branch is taught the same syllabus in first year. Also teachers provide many assignments with right deadlines. Attendance too is compulsory 50% for letting you sit in exams.
Placements are upto ones expectations. Most of the students get placed every year both on-campus and off-campus with packages going upto crores. This year the highest package was of 1.73 crores with CSE branch having an average of 17 Lpa.
College infrastructure is good. It have different buildings for different departments and a big ground is provided where many sports can be played at once. An students activity centre is also provided for the works of different clubs and some indoor games like snooker, badminton.
Academics are decent. You have to study on your own in some of the subjects. You can't depend on professors for your semester exams fully. Also the assignments provided by them is a hectic tak to do and attendance too is compulsory.
Palacements are better. This year it have touched 3.5 crore(off-campus) . And average placement is also good if we look into it branch wise .The highest package placed from Dual Computer science and minimum package placed of 12.5 lakhs.
Very good infrastructure. All basic facilities are there. Classrooms have projector and has huge capacity to accommodate students. Library has section wise portion for self study with minimum distraction.Overall good.
On an average, both hindi and English languages are used . First year is full of mess. Almost every branch subjects are taught and especially workshops and Engineering drawing classes. Rest depends on student how they perceive studies.
To be honest,I don't have much idea about this. But previous year highest package was approximately 1.5cr to a chemical branch student. Rest it depends how skilled you are . Companies along with sponsors like github do visit the campus.
Dude, every engineering course cost approx 10-15 lakh whether it is private or government. So, rather than comparing focus on your skill development then automatically it will worth it. Inculcate habit of learning new tech.
On the level of safety, this area is quite safe. At a walk you will have food corners, Nestle cafe etc. It has a large campus . Its has a sunset view point which is amazing. If you want to see greenery and you are from metropolitan cities then it can be good for you.
Yes most of the necessary facilities are provided. Wifi is generally distributed all over the institute except hostels. The college is clean and green. It has a big ground with many courts available there. Like one can also play lawn tennis there and a students activity centre is also there.
I am a student of mechanical branch. Most of the Teachers here are good but all of them provide assignments. Curriculum also is not much updated in first year all the students are taught same subjects irrespective of their branches.
Placements are quite good as compared to many colleges. Approximately 88% students are placed every year and highest package may go upto crores. This year average package was around 12-13 Lpa and for the top branches like CSE it was around 17Lpa.
Campus is clean and well maintained. Variety of flora and fauna can be seen here.

It is surely value for money
Campus Life is very good
It's a great place to make up your skills
Our college is well equiped with all the basic facilities like wi-fi, water filters, sports equipment, smart boards etc. It has a good library that provides all the books we need for our studies. Everything is well maintained. Living spaces are clean and hygienic enough except mess.
I am a student of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The quality of teaching is ok ok.The curriculum till now ( in first year) looks useless.I don't understand the point of studying all that.It doesn't make me job ready.
What I have heard is 94-96% of the students get placed (from CSE deptt.) . But the placements are highly skill-based. It's not about studying CSE, it's all about skills which can be learnt by a student of any branch.
The campus is magnificent and is well maintained. Although it is provided with many shops of necessity.Medical services are available 12x7and an Ambulance too. And you will definitely find the clean and green environment with balanced sanitation across the whole campus.
The academics is overall average. All the study hours are managed by the students themselves. Some teacher give many assignments. Trace of seniors may help you in the academic queries and the coding queries as well.
Placements are quite good as far as I know the average package of a CSE students in this year was 17 lac. Here my keen interest in telling the amount is that one should having a standard skills can expect the package.
The infrastructure of college is quite good. Most of the facilities are provided here. Reading hall remains open upto 12 midnight. Highspeed wifi is provided in the library and reading halls. Various shops are also here for daily needs and stationary.
Academics are good here teachers try their best to deliver the knowledge they have. Some teachers are chill and will give marks easily but some provide assignments a lot for internal marks. Attendance is also compulsory.
Placement are decent in some branches and can go as high as 2 crores in top branches like CSE, ECE. Near about 95% students are placed every year providing an average package of 12-13 Lpa. For top branches average package can go upto 17 Lpa also.
Campus Life is quite good as it has a large campus with wide variety of flora and fauna. Rainy season is the best here and will provide you with many great scenes.
College infrastructure is perfect. The beauty of NIT Hamirpur is very good. We have bank facility, stationery shop, barber shop, and canteen and cafe also. College have a well developed lecture hall with all facilities.
The academics of this college disappoints me a little bit. We don't have sufficient time to prepare for academics. We stuck to the assignment, file work , we don't have extra time for coding and for skill development.
The placement of our college is perfect. There are some students who don't get quite good package but many students achieve extraordinary package. The percentage of placement is nice. More than 80 percent students gets the package.
Overall college experience is very good but there are something which disappoints me like academics and some faculty member. Hostel Life is perfect also the campus is outstanding. Here we have a bank facility near our hostel stationery shop also there which is a good thing for us. For me my college life is worth it.
Collage Have All The Necessary Equipment And Good Infrastructure. Sports Centres Are Well Maintained And are used regularly. Wifi is generally not available everywhere in the campus except near the departments.
Overall academics is average. Some faculties are not that good towards student. Atleast 75% Attendance is compulsory for students to be able to sit in endsems. Also teachers provide lot of assignments.
Placements have been quite good in last few years. Approximately 90%+ students are placed every year. Highest package can go upto 1-2 crores. Generally students from CSE nad ECE departments take the highest package.

With your CRL rank of 212093 and OBC rank of 72722, it's unlikely you'll get admission to Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur. The OBC closing rank for Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur is typically much lower, around 20,000-40,000. While a rank of 212093 might be good enough for some NITs, particularly those with less competitive programs, it's unlikely to be competitive for Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur.

NIT Hamirpur's Mathematics and Computing (MNC) branch is well-regarded, offering strong placement opportunities. In 2023, the highest package for B.Tech students reached 173 LPA, with an average package of 7.54 LPA. Admission to the MNC program is competitive, with JEE Main cutoffs varying annually. For instance, in 2024, the closing ranks for the General category ranged from 898 to 44,461, depending on the quota and gender. Given your 87.35 percentile in JEE Main, securing a seat in the MNC branch may be challenging.
