The registration for JoSAA 2025 has started from June 3, 2025.
NIT Hamirpur is conducting an Alumni Meet cum Silver Jubilee Reunion of the 11th batch on June 6-7, 2025.
College is overall developed. Nearly All departments have their own buildings. All the necessary equipment are provided in the labs although they are old. Some departmental buildings are really old. There are 2 lecture halls. Both have projectors.
I am studying Material science. Teachers are good here but assignments and study load is a little extra. Curriculum is not much updated. In the first year all the students are taught same subjects irrespective of their branches .
NitH has a quite acceptable record in terms of placements. Here you get both on Campus and off Campus opportunities. Highest placement may go Upto 1-2 crores for Cse/Ece branch. Generally 94% students are placed every year.
College has most of the necessary facilities. Nearby shops are also there for daily needs, fast food, electric equipments. Wifi is provided in the classes and library. Most of the Hostels lack the wifi and also the mess food is not much hygenic.
Currently i am pursuing BTech in CSE most of the CSE faculty is chill and some other branches have good teachers also. Curriculum is not much updated atleast not in first year. They are taught all subjects irrespective of their branches and sometimes assignment work is a little extra.
Placements are quite good. Some people also get packages above 1 crore. CSE branch has an average package of near about 17 Lpa. Many students are able to get their dream packages too. Approximately 90%+ students are placed every.
Good weather and greenery all along. Less pollution and clean environment.
Yes college has all the basic equipments available ,and all types of facilities are available in classes ,living space is clean and hygine ,regular cleaning is done on the interval of two - three days. Wifi is genrally distributed all over the campus excpet some places.
I am studying in CSE Branch to get placement in coding sector , although the syllabus of college is not so updated ,there are many irrelevant subjects. Load of assignments is a little extra and strict marking is also done by some teachers.
Placement is good here, you can cross over 50 lakh package also. Some branches other than the CSE also took high packages. Average package here is approximately 12-13 Lpa and for the CSE branch its is approximately 17 Lpa.
Definately it is a value for money , for four year Btech cource it cost around 8 lakh
Campus life is definately awesome , firstly the environment here are so pure ,there is no pollution and campus is full of greenery and beutiful sunset, weather are there where you can chill with your freinds
The classrooms are quite clean nd well maintained. The whole campus is clean. Medical facilities are also available like first aid, doctors available 24/7 . Our libraries contains around 1 lakh books. There are 6 reading hall which are properly air conditioned. There are e-books also . The campus food is good. You can get almost every kind of fast food here. Now coming to the hostel part. It is quite bothering for the 1st year students.
The 1st year curriculum is not so good. You have to study all the subjects of all branches as all the nits and IITs. Teachers are same as the other nits . Some teachers are kind enough to give you attendance and some are rude. From 2nd year the curriculum gets more course related. But still the assignment and all really boring.
As per this year's on campus placement lots of big companies has already visited and picked up most of the students . The coding culture here is good. The societies and the clubs have auch seniors who actually can mentor juniors.
The campus view of hills and mountains is really pleasant. You can easily go for a short trip with your friends on the weekend. Otherwise the campus is clean and quite big . There are every facilities for the students as well as teachers. The sports culture is also good.
I can't say it is the best campus but yeah ,the maintenance is pretty well. We have a big ground. Greenery and beautiful flowers are in everywhere. And it is absolutely safe to move at night also as guards are there in every here and there. But there is particular intimings for students.
Overall I think it has a pretty well developed infrastructure. The campus beauty is amazing. The location is also perfect.
Infrastructure is quite good but offcourse the hostels like everywhere have less water and no internet in most of the hostels. college has general stores and shops for your daily needs. There are fast food shops also so you don't need to go outside the campus.
Talking about the academics its well structured but you will have to take very much of your time to spend there. Coding competition is a little bit. You can reach out to seniors who can help you if struck in problems. But load of assignments is a little extra.
Placements are quite comparable as of the past few years some reaching to crores also. Near about 90% students get placed every year. For the CSE branch this % goes upto 94-95. Average salary for all the branches combining is approximately 11Lpa.
The facilities available are sufficient for good well being. But the most problematic thing is connectivity. It lags alot and there are LAN ports in hostel but even they lack many a times. The equipment labs, sports arena, classes all are quite well maintained. The living spaces though are cleaned dully in time intervals as per requirement.
I would rather it poor since a first year student is supposed to learn mechanical workshop, engineering drawing, etc which are not required. These subjects don't let students work on improvising skills. Also having all subjects in first year to an expanded extent is not required. The curriculum needs an updation as per current job requirements. Hopefully they have improvised it for upcoming batch.
The in campus placements are moderate as per NIT level. But the arena helps student grow and improvise skills that enables high CTC off campus placements. A good percentage of students have been placed. Mostly mechanical department and computer science department take the high packages. The average remains around 15lpa.
The fee paid is moderate as per current Indian engineering college fees.
The college campus is beautiful. It has peace and soothness. There are sports centres, computer centres also new lecture hall is been build. A good moral support is from peers all that matters is company being choose. The college is safe. Though it does lack connectivity but to ensure safety bus directly to Delhi from college itself runs. It does lack coding culture but again it comes to the fact how well you choose your peers.
Infrastructure is quite fascinating with all that one needs. Nearby shops for general purposes, fast food, canteens, everything. But yeah shortage of water is very common and obv the mess facilities same everywhere ?.
Very much academics load lot of assignments are given attendance is also compulsory. Most of the teachers provide you with the knowledge you need and guidance regarding career. Teachers give their best to explain.
Placements are quite good with approx 85%+ students being placed every year. Packages offered are quite good with many students getting their dream packages. Highest packages may go upto crores sometimes.
Campus is beautiful in the rainy season and in winters. You might witness some eye captivating views here.
The infrastructure is modern and upto date. The buildings are beautiful with cream tone and green roofs that match with the surrounding natural beauty. The hostel are also upto date with periodic restorations taking place.
Academic is average here as the faculty ismt upto mark. You have to self teach yourselves a lot. Although you can go to the preferred teachers for asking doubta and guidelines but tejir explaination os bit hard to understand or sometimes goes over the head
The placements of college are staisfactory with cse being the branch with highest packages upto 50lpa. In recent years the college has seen a okk downfall in padhayenge packages though because of the administration but they are still good
According to the cost the college is outstanding. You get a great college with things required for your activities and didn't feel over charged at all. Although dinner entities like lan wifi causes a lot of issues
The college life is best. With serene beauty, beautiful campus great interaction multiple activities to partake into and helpful seniors one can live the best of college life. I m 100% living it and didn't have a single doubt about it
Great college great infrastructure a lot of activities to do good sports culture good coding good placements good seniors good hostels okayish mess food l would say definitely join in if you get it. Warning the issue of smoking and drugs is quite prevalent here
Have very good facilities like E-class room, library, well maintained student activity center SAC ,sports facilities, gym in hostel, two Lecture hall ,a student park, ground and also different shops for our needs
Academics is a load for students due to assignment, mandatory attendance and teachers taking unnecessary extra classes. The teachers here are quite poor in teaching leaving some of them. The college is not research oriented and the faculty is very narrow minded. The administrative is quite biased towards himachal people.
A decent packages form a good companies is got by the some of seniors.few students were also got 7 digit package or dream package. Also students is able to crack GSOC, ELECTROTHON ,like big competition.
The campus of NITH is quite beautiful. The nature friendly environment here makes it one of the most beautiful infrastructure in India. The classrooms here have various facilities such as wifi, smart boards, etc.
I am currently studying as an ECE student in NITH. The quality of teaching here is quite average. Some of the teachers teaches quite good but some teachers doesn't. The curriculum is pretty much updated in the recent developments.
If we talk about placements at NITH are very good in both on and outside of the campus . In ECE almost all students gets placed and the highest package was 42 lpa which quite good. The average salary here is approx. 11lpa.

With your CRL rank of 212093 and OBC rank of 72722, it's unlikely you'll get admission to Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur. The OBC closing rank for Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur is typically much lower, around 20,000-40,000. While a rank of 212093 might be good enough for some NITs, particularly those with less competitive programs, it's unlikely to be competitive for Mechanical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur.

NIT Hamirpur's Mathematics and Computing (MNC) branch is well-regarded, offering strong placement opportunities. In 2023, the highest package for B.Tech students reached 173 LPA, with an average package of 7.54 LPA. Admission to the MNC program is competitive, with JEE Main cutoffs varying annually. For instance, in 2024, the closing ranks for the General category ranged from 898 to 44,461, depending on the quota and gender. Given your 87.35 percentile in JEE Main, securing a seat in the MNC branch may be challenging.
