I am currently pursuing b tech in mechanical engineering. Quality of teaching of some professors are good but some of them are poor. No i dont think our curriculum is updated and some development might be required.
Quality of placement is nice and percentage of students placed is above 85 percent and highest salary package is above 50 lakhs and course was of computer science. Average salary offered was 7.5lpa.yes placement process is easy.
Somehow good and well looking. Some parts are going through repair. A new building is being made right now. Some building parts are very old. One ground very big and one ground very small. One duck pond is also here which is beautiful.
curriculum is old but still somehow proffesors try to keep up with the new upcoming technologies and science. The quality of teaching is very varied here. But still we somehow manage with the lessons given on the discipline taken by me.
Very good placements. Over 80 percent students placed. Open for all type of companies. Many good companies come to this college like Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Help is given in the form of a Career Development Center.
Staying in hostels is mandatory for all undergraduate students of the Institute. There are seven hostels for boys, three of these halls have single-seated rooms for senior students and two hostels for girls to accommodate the admitted students. Each hostel has a separate mess managed under the supervision of wardens. All the hostels have their own volleyball & concrete Badminton courts with indoor games facilities like Table Tennis & Carom boards. It has all the necessary infrastructures and everything is maintained properly. There are 1 football ground , 1 tennis court , 1 basketball court and 1 common ground and everything is well maintained. Several auditoriums with fully Ac smart classroom . Food is good compared to other colleges.
I am studying mechanical engineering because I love machines and mechanical engineering consists of more than 26 disciplines and i love to explore the lot of things and lot of technology and subjects that's why i choose mechanical engineering. Unlike IT sector mechanical engineering far more stable and safe career in long term.
The placement records are fair enough. Core and IT both companies come to the campus and students from all departments have privilege to explore career paths and prepare according to their interest and all those preparation at the end of the degree lands him to a good job.
College have all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equipment. In lab there is all equipment. In class room there is black board and projector and microphone also. Living space are clean and food is hygienic.
I am studying electrical Engineering . Quality of teaching is good but professor in electrical engineering a little bit tougher. Curriculum is updated and job ready. After few years the curriculum is reviewed and updated.

I am studying mechanical engineering here . In mechanical engineering there is reach in faculty most of the professor are very much more experienced in there respective field . Curriculum is updated and job ready with respect to time many things are included in syllabus.
From past few years the placement is very good more than 80%student get placed in various company . Average ctc is nearly 7lpa . For computer science and electronics and communication engineering there is much more average salary offered as compared to total average.

Placement is good nearly all the students get placed from here and many students peruse for higher studies also. Average salary offered is 7 lpa . But in cse and ece department it's much more higher average salary offered .
The infrastructure of the college is not upto to mark but it's improving at a good rate. Air conditioners are available in classes, library, and some laboratories. Every class has a projector. The Wi-Fi is available at hostels, and library , They are used and maintained upto a mark. Sometimes the hostel wifi get jammed without reason. The living spaces are clean and the hygiene of the food is not good. It needs a lot of improvement.
The teaching is kinda good, but some teachers are worse . The curriculum is updated and kinda includes the recent developments in the field. There are some 1-2 teachers who read the pdf and tell the teaching is done..., But overall the total teaching is affirmable
The placements from the campus is very good. The last year had a 83.5% placements. This year more than 70% have already been placed in many top companies. The highest pack of the year is 51LPA from Microsoft and around 35 people got placed in Microsoft..Still some placements are yet to be done.. The overall placements are good

you need at least 75% in boards or be in the top 20 percentile of your board. If you belong to SC, ST, or PwD category, then the requirement is relaxed to 65%. Once you meet this eligibility, your admission will mainly depend on your JEE Main rank and JoSAA
Hello dear,
I would like to clarify a very important point here. NITs are technical institutes that offer B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc, MBA, and PhD programs. To join NIT Durgapur for an undergraduate program, the main entry is through JEE Mains, which requires a science background in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
