Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur also known as VNIT, Nagpur is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. It was established in the year 1960. The campus is spread around 215 acres of land with greenery all around. We have smart classrooms, high-tech laboratories, one big library, top-class sports facilities, and newly built hostels for boys and girls both with free WiFi. The campus is really beautiful with all the amenities.
The curriculum for the MTech Communication is good. The curriculum has less scope for diverse electives as it is a Master's course but the faculties are really good with exceptional knowledge and skills. All are Ph.D. holders from IITs, IISc, NITs, and foreign Universities. Faculties try to give their best and they will make sure to extract the best out of you also. Coding and Softwares are promoted by the faculties and the assignments will also reflect that. Overall the academics are good.
Placements are good and VNIT Nagpur by far has performed amazingly well than my expectations. It has a really good placement and internship trend. Various core companies come for internships and placements to our college. As of now, I am writing this post in May 2021, and till now around 7-8 core electronics companies have come to our campus for 11 months internship. Companies like Marvell, Qualcomm, Intel, NXP, Philips, Mediatek, Xilinx, AMD, Nvidia came to our campus.
It is a value-for-money course. The semester fee is around 40k per semester and hostel and mess fees are excluded.
The campus is really good with all the amenities. I am the unlucky one as I was not able to visit the campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My whole M.Tech will be in Online Mode. Hope to see the campus when I go to take my M.Tech degree.
Overall it is a really good college and a good course to go with. And a value for money course with a high Return on Investment.
The medical facilities are good, as their is helth Centre and 24×7 ambulalancre available . The quality of food is better than other mess facility . Wi-Fi is not available everywhere , it is there only in Computer lab. Their is canteen in the hostel area and also near the academic building .
The syllabus is somewhat tough should be updated as per indusrty requirements . The academic schedule is really impressive. Syllabus is really helpful for students and Faculty are really helpful and supportive.
Nearly 70-80% of students are placed each year. The students of mechanical department get an average ppackage of 6.5lpa. The lowest salary package offered was 8lpa. The students got internship in companies llike D.E. shaw, wells Gargoti, Samsung, Ford, JP Morgan, etc.
The fees is 2 LPA. And thoughts loan facility is also available and their is separat bank for that. Overall fee structure is good.
Campus is so good and it include all the facilities which is required for students. Two canteen in campus and wifi facilities are available. Jym ,swimming pool ,badminton court are aldo their
The campus crowd is good. Our course include a lot of theory. The college in heart of Nagpur.
Infrastructure is really nice .new classroom complex with smart classes and world class laboratories ,new hostel for both girls and boys .late night canteens are available which stay open till 4 in the morning.new sports complex is also made recently
Academics are really nice . professors take their job very seriously ,you can literally call some of them late nights without a problem to get your doubts cleared .new courses are added each year.professors are very knowledgeable in evey department.
In the core branches like electrical and mechanical evey student was placed during my time except for those who had very less pointer in the range of 5s,which were only 1 or 2 students.companies like Goldman Sachs offered packages upto 40-50 lakhs .
Amazing campus life.we have clubs for dancing ,dramatics robotics and many other .great place to prove your extracurriculars too .
The infrastructure of college is very good.Hostels are also very good with LAN wire in each room for good internet.Labs and classroom are also very good updated with modern equipment .And there are good facilities for extracurricular activities.
The quality of teaching is good . Teacher’s are well educated about their subjects . Method of teaching is good . Some senior faculty are very knowledgable . They try to teach with practical examples .
More than 100 companies come for the placement of students in the College.Major recruiters that come to our college for campus recruitment are JP Morgan , Morgan Stanley , Godrej, Deloitte , Barclays and much more.
VNIT campus is well equipped with all kinds of modern infrastructure. There are separate blocks for different streams which include academic buildings and workshops. The newly constructed classroom complex and academic centre has state of the art infrastructure which includes smart classrooms and well equipped labs. The institute library is open 24/7 and is accompanied by wifi and a computer centre. Hostels are large and comfortable, however are very old and need renovations.
I am studying mechanical engineering in VNIT. The professors are learned people who provide precise guidance on different subjects. Lectures and practicals are conducted on a regular basis. Curriculum includes subjects that form the basis of mechanical engineering. However the curriculum needs to be updated. Including computer science and machine learning in syllabus would be beneficial for students.
Placements in VNIT are descent. However when it comes to core branches like mechanical, electrical and civil placements aren't so satisfactory. The main reason for this is not including modern technologies in the curriculum. But on the other hand, Computer science and electronics engineering get good placement offers that can be opted for.
I have to pay Rs. 66000 as tuition fees and Rs. 42000 as hostel fees per semester. Fee waivers and scholarships are also available for the economically backward. Talking about tuition fees, I feel that it is just and the experience you get is worth the money you spend. Hostel fees include hostel and mess charges. Mess is pretty good but I think hostel charges are a bit expensive.
VNIT boasts a huge 225 acre lush green campus. The campus sits on the southern banks of the Ambazari lake. You can always hang out in the campus which features a park, central fountain, a cafe and a night canteen. Various events are conducted throughout the year to keep students engaged. Security guards are present everywhere and so it is safe even for late night strolls.
The college is very big. Every department has its separate building in campus. The labs and equipments are more than important in colleges. The hostels are very good. They have common washrooms though. The wifi is very fast.
This is the aspect where college is okay. The quality of teaching is good. Some profs are too good, friendly and supportive in nature. The college is autonomous and the best in vidarbha and one of the best in the state.
The average package in the college is 6 lakh per annum. The internships are also great. The stipend is high if you are skilled enough. Almost everyone who wants to gets placed from college and everyone gets the internships as well.
That's great as is it is a national institute. It has everything. There are new hostels for first year students. The mess is not that good. Coverage issues in college campus. The wifi is the best in city. Ample amount of sports.
Yes it is also great. I am in third year pursuing my computer science engineering from this college. The college is great. The profs are some good some bad. You need to be friendly with them. Attendance is compulsory.
Almost every student here gets placed and that is obvious kind off. The internship which we get is also pretty good quality. It can be anywhere in India or in any other country. The package is high. This is the 2nd best college of Maharashtra.
Only food facilities are not good in our college, so you need to adjust. Sports and medical facilities are good, and there is a gym on the campus. A canteen is also available in the middle of the campus so that you can relax and enjoy there in your free time with your friends.
Professors are quite dedicated to make you learn new concepts. They are quite highly qualified academicians with great research record. Course curriculum is like the rest of the country, old and outdated. Much attention is to be given to modify the syllabus to make the students industry ready instead of making them ready only to pass semesters.
Approximately 70-75% gets placed in the final year. Average package is approximately 7lpa and maximum package is 21lpa and minimum is 4lpa. Goldman Sachs, Reliance, Bajaj, Schindler are top recruiters. Mostly all the students from Computer Science course got the internship.
Vnit is very expensive. The course fee is approximately Rs.1,30,000 per year. SC ST is given complete fee waiver and have scholarship and stipend Loans are needed, and they are generally easily availed from the Canara Bank Branch in the Campus.
Campus Life of Vnit is very great as it contains many student canteen as well as staff canteen. Vnit has focused on greenary of the campus, so it is completely covered with trees, which make campus life beautiful, entertaining.
There are hostels and the new ones are also being constructed. The hostels are well secured inside the campus and have strict rules regarding the time. Apart from this, there are various restaurant and cafes around the campus. The classroom is big enough. Labs are well with all required amenities. The overall infrastructure of t
Faculty members here are experienced enough to teach. The course curriculum is also very good. So you can choose this college for your B.Tech. The course curriculum will be useful for students when they enter into any industry, whereas many industries give training for their employees
On average of 80%-90% of the students get placed from our college. The highest salary package offered in the year 2020 was 42 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was around 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 5 LPA. Around 10%-20% of the students get internship opportunities in their third year of the course.
The fee structure is INR 2.50 lakhs. There are scholarships available for poor and lower income family. Being a central government college, the fee is little high according to me but still, it is ok. Because the facilities provided are good.
Good campus life. The night life is great. At night the campus shines in its glory. Even in daytime the campus charms with the birds. It overall gives a good vibe.
First year hostels are newly constructed and hence quite good. Mess is also fine. Older hostels, though not as good, have quite spacious rooms and are maintained well. We have a well-equipped health centre with emergency facilities. There are facilities for almost all major sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, etc.
have heard from my senior that the course curriculum is quite good and up to the industry standards. Teachers are well qualified and experienced. They are quite helpful if you have any doubts or questions.
Placement of the institute is good, talking about internship it is also good. You can do some projects under some well-educated professors, they will help whenever you need any projects, further the average placement package depends upon different branches. As in computer science placement is approx 10 lacs whereas in mining INR 6 Lakhs in Avg. From this college, too many good alumni are there. In this college, special preferences are given to sports and always some functions are there regarding
Currently, the academic fee at Visvesaraya National Institute of Technology, [VNIT] Nagpur being around 1.3 lakh rupees per annum and the hostel fee is somewhere around 80,000 rupees per annum. I think hostel fees are not worth. This is very high.
Campus is lush green but very small compared to other nit's . New construction have made campus more attractive
Hii,
VNIT CSE is a better choice if you enjoy computers, coding, and software because computer science offers more career opportunities and higher salaries overall. However, NIT Warangal ECE is also excellent if you have a preference for electronics, gadgets, or circuits—NIT Warangal is more well-known and ranked higher. Thus, make your decision based on your preferences. CSE at VNIT is a marginally better choice for employment and future advancement.
