The Founder’s scholarship at SRM University involves full fee waiver of tuition fee, hostel and mess fee along with a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000. Candidates have to fulfill the basic conditions at the time of admission in order to be eligible for SRM Founder’s scholarship 2021.
The authorities have set the eligibility criteria at the time of admission for candidates applying at SRM University. In order to be eligible for SRM Scholarship 2021 (Founder’s), candidates have to comply with any of the following requirements:
Candidates should have secured top rank in B.Tech Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE), or
Candidates should have obtained top rank in School final examination (class 12 or equivalent)
Candidates should have secured top rank in any of the following entrance examinations;
SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE 2021)
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main or JEE Advanced)
Candidates who are exemplary sports persons at national and international level
Candidates enrolled in one or the other programmes at SRMIST can apply for University scholarship schemes depending on their eligibility.
Merit Scholarship
SRMIST offers scholarship schemes to meritorious candidates to encourage and support them. The students have to comply with the following conditions:
Students who have secured above 95% marks in CBSE or State board examination, and
Those who are ranked among top 10,000 rank holders of SRMJEEE
Such candidates complying with the above conditions will be eligible for fill SRM Scholarship application form 2021. They will receive a scholarship having a value of up to 50% of tuition fee waiver in the branch they are eligible for at the time of counseling. It may be noted that the quantum and number of SRM Scholarships 2021 would vary from time to time.
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship
This scheme under SRM Scholarship 2021 is applicable for candidates of Socio-economic disdained sections of the society. Students who are economically challenged are offered 25% to 100% tuition fee waiver based on their performance in the qualifying examination.
Scholarship for Minority Community
Students belonging to the minority community are offered tuition fee waiver of 25% to 100% based on their performance of students in the qualifying examination under SRM 2021 scholarship.
Scholarship for Physically challenged/ Differently-abled
Students who are physically challenged or differently abled are offered full tuition fee waiver. Such students will be required to produce the relevant documents and certificates to prove their eligibility.
Scholarship for Special Merits
students possessing exemplary skills in literary debating, fine arts and others are offered tuition fee waiver of upto 100%.
