Hello Aspirant,

No, applicants based on JEE do not have to go for PI/GEPI (Personal Interview / Group Exercise & Personal Interview) at Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Pune. The PI/GEPI only applies for applicants through the SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) route. You received your selection letter from the institute based on your JEE scores; therefore, you will not need to go through any further interview rounds.

If you needed an admit card or to book a time slot for another round of interviews, it would have been on your admission portal or stated in an email to you. But because you have already been selected through JEE, you do not need to do anything further. For full clarity, you may contact SIT Pune admission office or look on your candidate dashboard on the official admissions portal.

hi,

If you have a valid SITEEE score and want admission to Symbiosis through it, you usually don’t need to submit your JEE score card. Symbiosis accepts SITEEE scores separately for admission.

However, it’s always good to check the latest official Symbiosis admission guidelines or contact their admission office to confirm the exact documents required for your specific course.

To apply for BTech at Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) Pune, you need to follow a few steps.

First, make sure you are eligible. You must have passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science. You should have at least 45 percent marks (40 percent for reserved categories).

Then, register for the SITEEE exam on the SET exam portal. Also, fill out the application form on the official SIT Pune website. The fee for the SITEEE exam is Rs2250 and the institute application fee is Rs1000.

In 2025, the SITEEE exam is being conducted on May 5 and May 11. If you take the exam on both days, the better score will be considered.

After the exam, students will be shortlisted based on their SITEEE, JEE Main, or MHT CET scores. The selection process also includes a written ability test and a personal interview.

If you have a diploma or a BSc degree, you can apply directly to the second year through lateral entry. You should have 45 percent marks (40 percent for reserved categories) in your diploma or BSc.

If you don’t want to write SITEEE, you can still apply using your JEE Main or MHT CET scores.

Once selected, SIT Pune will send an admission offer. You’ll need to pay the admission fee and upload documents like your 10th and 12th marksheets, character certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and migration certificate.

There is also an option to apply for management quota seats, but you should be careful and avoid paying extra through unofficial channels.

To get top branches like Computer Science or AI & ML, you need a good rank in SITEEE or JEE Main, preferably in the top 5 to 10 percent.

After confirming your seat, you can apply for hostel facilities. Rooms are given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hello there,

Being 27th on the waiting list for the Communication Designing program at Symbiosis Institute of Design gives you a fair chance , but it's not guaranteed. Here’s how it works:

Factors to Consider:

  1. Vacancies : Admission from the waiting list depends on the number of students who withdraw their admission or don’t complete the necessary formalities. If several students ahead of you drop out, you may get a chance.

  2. Cut-off : Symbiosis may also have a cut-off for the waiting list, which could determine how many candidates are admitted from it.

  3. Course Popularity : If Communication Designing is a highly sought-after program, it could be harder to move up the list, as fewer students may leave their seats.

    What You Can Do:

  • Stay in Touch : Regularly check for updates from Symbiosis and stay in touch with the admissions office.

  • Prepare Backup Options : Consider applying to other design institutes as well, in case you don't get through.

  • Keep Documents Ready : If a seat becomes available, you may need to act quickly, so keep your documents and finances ready for admission.

It is possible to get in, but it largely depends on how many students ahead of you decide to forfeit their seat. Keep an eye on the updates and prepare accordingly.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
