SRM University Infrastructure: Campus Area, Hostels, & Libraries
The infrastructure of SRM University includes a well-maintained campus, hostel facilities, library, air-conditioned auditorium, and many other facilities. The main campus of SRM University at Kattankulathur consists of three colleges. Apart from this, it also houses the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Center and SRM hostel. The entire campus is spread over 250 acres. The entire campus has continuous internet connectivity. SRM University campus has 15 canteens spread throughout the campus. Apart from this, there are also retail outlets present on the campus.
SRM University Hostel
SRM University provides accommodation facilities to the students in the Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, and NCR campuses. Separate hostels are provided to boys and girls. SRM University hostel has the option of 2 sharing, 3 sharing and 6 sharing. The hostel rooms are provided with furniture and study tables. Kitchens are also present in the hostels which are used to prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Apart from this, other food outlets and cafes are also present which are open for 12 to 15 hours a day.

SRM University Library
The university library is nearly three decades old. SRM University library has a large collection of books and other resources. SRM University library is fully air-conditioned and is automated with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. The library is equipped with CCTV security systems and fire alarms. SRM University library has reading halls on all floors with reference collections. SRM University library also has non-printed material like CD-ROMs, floppy discs, bibliographic databases, videos, etc. OPAC (open public access catalogue) has been created and 17 terminals are provided to facilitate access.
Rules of SRM University Library
All members should carry their identity cards.
Personal items are not allowed inside the library.
The decorum of the library should be maintained at all times.
