    Can I get direct admission in UPES - The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) will be conducting UPESEAT for the admission of candidates to the undergraduate engineering courses. Admission will be provided to the candidates who meet the UPESEAT 2021 eligibility criteria. The admission authority has reserved 80% of the seats for admission through UPESEAT 2021, while 20% of the seats are reserved for admission through JEE Main or Board merit (Direct Admission). All the aspiring candidates must check the eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2021 before applying for the exam.     UPES 2021 Admission Criteria

    There are three modes in getting admissions for B.Tech courses in UPES - UPESEAT, JEE Main and Merit Board. The eligibility criteria are different for each of the admission modes of UPESEAT 2021. The exam authorities will offer 80% of the seats through UPESEAT 2021 and the remaining 20% will be filled through JEE Main and Board Merit pathway (Direct admission).

    UPES 2021 Direct Admission - Board Merit:

    • Candidate must have secured at least 80% marks in Class 10th and 12th (or equivalent examination).

    • An aggregate of 80% marks will be required by the candidate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th Class.

    UPES 2021 Admission - JEE Main 2021 Scores:

    • Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their Class 10th and 12th (or equivalent examination) to take admission through JEE Main.

    • An aggregate of 50% marks must be fulfilled by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 12th Class. The admission authority will announce the cut-off list after the conclusion of JEE Main 2021 exam.

    UPES 2021 Admission - UPESEAT 2021 (up to 80% Seats)

    • Candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Class 10th and 12th

    • He/She must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12th.

    Age Limit:

    • Candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1999, will be eligible for admission through UPESEAT 2021.

    • Date of birth as mentioned in the Secondary Education Board or University Certificate will only be considered as authentic.

    UPES Admission Criteria 2021 - Snippets

    • The admission offered by the Institute through two mediums - Exam (UPESEAT 2021) and Non-Exam (JEE Main 2021 & Board Merit).

    • The eligibility criteria of UPESEAT for two mediums is different.

    • The candidates who have qualified for the JEE Main will not be required to qualify for the UPESEAT 2021 exam.

    • All the candidates who are not eligible will be disqualified.
