    The data reveals that a business administration programme, at both bachelor’s and master’s level, is offered by every university looking to build their presence in online higher education.

    The growth of Online MBA and Online BBA shows the rising demand for business management courses among working professionals seeking a corporate promotion, career-switchers looking to break into new industries, and business owners who want formal management credentials.

    While traditional BA and MA programmes still exist, 110 universities also offer these programmes in online mode.

    Growth of Computer Applications and Commerce Programmes

    When comparing with the online MBA degree, online computer and commerce degrees are becoming the emerging degrees choice.


    The data reflects the shifting landscape of education towards immediate employability, specifically computer application, commerce, and management.

    The Demand for Niche Learning: Data Science & AI

    The UGC’s list of entitled higher educational institutions (HEIs) show that 17 universities offer a dedicated online programme in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, and Business Analytics. While the number shows a small representation (nearly 14%) out of the 121 institutions, it is clearly visible that universities are building job-oriented courses.
