Industrial and production engineering is a relatively new course in India. It focuses on the concept of developing, manufacturing, implementing, improving, implementing and evaluating the integrated system of people, money, information, equipment, energy and the industrial process as a whole. It also involves the study of designing and manufacturing processes for a product and also planning, measuring and controlling all the economic and productive activities within an organization. It has been fairly popular among Indian students all over the country.
Industrial and production engineering can be studied through various courses such as B.Tech in industrial and production engineering and M.Tech in industrial and production engineering. B.Tech in industrial and production engineering is an undergraduate course which spans over 4 years and is divided into 8 semesters. After completing their B.Tech degree, graduates can pursue M.Tech in industrial and production engineering which is a 2 year old postgraduate course. Read on, to know in detail about the Industrial and Production Engineering course, scope, career opportunity, salary and more.

The field of production industry is progressing at a fast rate and innumerable career options can be found in both product and service-oriented industries. It requires a good knowledge of equipment, energy, energy and money together with the ability to perform complex system tasks.
Industrial and Production Engineering is a discipline of engineering which includes creating and applying technologies that controls production and delivery. These professionals design, program, measure and control all the activities within the production sector of that organization. They also devise processes, systems and implement them to make the existing process more efficient. The career prospects in this sector are very promising as the production industry is booming. Therefore, it is apparent that in future years there will be a huge demand for skilled industrial and production engineers. The work field of these professionals is very wide and diverse. However, they are mostly hired by the production sector and numerous other industries associated with it.
The globalization of India has also been a great help for the production industry. It has provided an international market for new industrial and production engineering graduates. Many MNCs (Multinational Companies) are hiring skilled graduates who can contribute to their company’s growth. The scope for Industrial and Production Engineering is very good in both India and abroad.
