As per the official information from the VIT PTA, the placement record has been the highest in all the courses in recent years. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore achieves the highest number of placement offers with attractive salaries across the country.
Wipro Technologies made job offers to 278 students with an of Rs. 6.5 lakhs per annum on the year 2020 during the campus recruitment drive held at the VIT campus. This is the ninth time that the VIT, Vellore is entering the Limca Book of Records for campus placement for the highest number of dream offers given by the company to the students from a single institution.
Also in 2019, Wipro Technologies made job offers to 278 students and entered into the Limca Book of Records.
Earlier, VIT, Vellore has also entered into the Limca Book of records in 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015 (two records), 2016 for the highest number of IT services placements, 2017, and 2018 for the highest number of job offers.
In the year 2017, VIT, Vellore made 129 job offers to the students with a Cost to Company (CTC) of Rs. 6 Lakh per annum.
This year, the highest CTC of Rs. 44 lakhs which was offered by Microsoft.
Next to Microsoft, AppDynamics and D.E.SHAW are in 2nd and 3rd position with an annual package of 39.2 lakhs and 35.25 lakhs respectively.
