IIT Guwahati Invites Applications for Online BSc (Hons) in Data Science and AI with Flexible Exit Options

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has invited applications for its four-year full-time BSc (Honours) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for the academic session 2025–26. The registration process began on April 14, and candidates can apply until May 30 through the official website, iitg.ac.in. The first batch of classes will commence on September 1, 2025.

Offered by the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, the programme provides immersive training on AI, Data Science and Machine Learning to students. Most importantly, BSc (Honours) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is aimed at people from science as well as non-science backgrounds, thereby enabling the upskilling of a large population, from students who have just passed higher secondary to businesspersons and professionals.

• After 1st Year: Advanced Certificate in Data Science and AI

• After 2nd Year: Diploma

• After 3rd Year: BSc Degree

• After 4th Year: BSc (Honours) Degree

Students who exit after any of the earlier stages are eligible to rejoin the programme after a one-year break and continue their studies from where they left off — making this a truly learner-centric model.

Two pathways are available for admission:
