Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech in Man Made Fiber Technology
The candidate applying for the course i.e. B.Tech in Man Made Fiber Technology must complete 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks in PCM/PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Maths/ Physics, Chemistry & Biology). The candidates who have completed a diploma in fiber technology, textile technology or textile chemistry can also apply for this course through lateral entry. Along with these requirements the candidates are needed to appear for entrance examinations to get admitted into carpet and textile technology B.tech courses.

The admission process varies from institute to institute and state to state. Most of the colleges require the candidate to qualify an entrance examination. Candidates who are currently appearing or have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations are eligible to appear for the entrance examinations. Some colleges also offer direct admissions and lateral entry.
Direct Admission: Direct admission through management quota is available in almost all the colleges. Government engineering colleges do not offer a management quota so direct admission is not available.

JEE Main exam pattern
Exam will be online. There will be three section in exam, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section of the exam will have 25 questions carrying equal weightage to all. Though from this time onwards, 20 questions will be multiple choice questions and 5 questions will be numerical based.
There will be negative marking for mcq’s but numerical questions will not follow the negative mark scheme.
The B.Planning paper will have three parts, Mathematics, Aptitude and planning based objective questions.
The B.Planning exam will be of 400 marks with a total of 100 questions.
The drawing part of the B.Arch examination will have 2 questions carrying 100 marks.
