Flexible Pathway to MTech Without GATE

Unlike regular MTech admissions, GATE score is not required for an early admit programme at IIT Gandhinagar. Candidates will not be tested on their knowledge in these 3 professional years of Training (PYTs). The decision will be a weighted summary of the three elements.

This is aimed at top-performing undergraduates who are aspirants to an MTech but don’t want to sit out for GATE cycles. The programme begins in earnest in July 2025 and applications are due by 5 PM on March 26. The shortlisted candidates have been declared from April 6 to 8, and the selection rounds — interviews and testing rounds — have been set between April 20 to May 20.
