Top Recruiters for B.Tech in Biomedical Instrumentation Graduates:
A degree course in Biomedical Instrumentation deals with the study of all sorts of instruments included in healthcare sectors. Firstly, it becomes necessary for the student to study human physiology and anatomy to understand the application of the biomedical instrumentation used for the diagnosis, treatment and cure of patients. The other major factor that is necessary for a student to understand under this B.tech course is the importance of a sterilised environment and sanitization since the medical devices and instruments come in contact with different patients and also the internal parts of the human body.
This makes it an obvious condition for microbial contamination and hence the cure becomes difficult with the worsening of the situation. The course also takes care to educate the students about the measures required in such a situation. A degree in B.tech in Biomedical Instrumentation helps a student to learn the research and development, manufacturing, software development, electronics, and handling of the instruments and equipment used in the medical sector. If a student finds interest in any of the above-mentioned concepts, he should not hesitate to choose the course in B.Tech in Biomedical Instrumentation.

Yes, you are eligible to pursue a second BE/B.Tech in Marine Engineering even after completing your B.Tech in Biomedical and M.Tech in Medical Instrumentation. Marine Engineering admissions focus mainly on Class 12 PCM percentage, age criteria and medical fitness rather than the branch of your previous degree. Since you are 23 and medically fit, you fall well within the required age limit followed by most DG-Approved colleges. However, you will have to join the full 4-year Marine Engineering program because lateral entry is allowed only for candidates with a mechanical or naval architecture background.
After completing the course and mandatory onboard training, you will be eligible to join the Merchant Navy as a marine engineer. So if you’re ready to invest the time and effort, shifting from your current field into a marine engineering career is definitely achievable.
All the best.
